Sorry if this has already been posted but I love the players coming out to Hey Jude. It'd be even better if people sang along at the same speed as the song rather than doing the garbled, mangled version we do at the moment.

I hate Hey Jude. It's trite, unoriginal, and reminds of that thumbs-up goon McCarney. Dreadful.

Why do we need a song to run out to anyway? What next? Cheerleaders and blimps?

In regards to entrance music, Hey Jude isn't my cup of tea.
Its too slow and no attitude to it, for me anyway.

Westlife? Boy Zone? well said! Bands like The Who, The Beatles, T-rex, The Kinks and even Oasis should be played at town games i say! Lets walk out to My generation, 20th century boy or even roll with it! It's better than Darude

How about some Embrace (town band) - Gravity........that would be apt!

I've always thought that the best sound for the players to come out to is applause and cheering from the fans. We don't need any music IMO.

Or Anarchy in the UK

Or Anarchy in the UK We had Kashmir at the start of the season but no one could hear it and it went down like a "led balloon". Why did we play Emergency by the Pigeon Detectives (Leeds band) before the Leeds game - we might as well have kranked out the Kaisers as well. Oh and Embrace reckon that they're Leeds fans. The Cribs on the other hand are Town fans ;D

I think that song would be a good entrance as the players come out to the main bit. At around 1:30.

Westlife? Boy Zone? How do you summise that from my post? Becuase I dislike Hey Jude I have no music culture and like manufactured pop? Do you have to like the Beatles to have any "musical culture"? I never said i disliked them – although, incidently, i'm not their biggest fan, but I damn sure know and acknowledge what they did for popular culture – I said I disliked McCartney who is an oaf and ought to slink off as a complete irrelavance to what's happening around him. I just wish people would show a bit of imagination and look beyond these staples that have been around for soooooooo long. Let me guess your fave bands are the Beatles, Led Zep, the Who, the Stones etc etc etc. None of them bad, but it hardly shows a musical cultural awareness yourself beyond the rock staples, now, does it?
