I agree regarding My Generation. Kashmir - Led Zepellin would be a good choice, if somewhat predicatable. Or Anarchy in the UK We had Kashmir at the start of the season but no one could hear it and it went down like a "led balloon". Why did we play Emergency by the Pigeon Detectives (Leeds band) before the Leeds game - we might as well have kranked out the Kaisers as well. Oh and Embrace reckon that they're Leeds fans. The Cribs on the other hand are Town fans ;D Went to see the Pigeon Detectives before they were famous - they had a Town flag on stage with them... but it was at Tokyo in Hudds so I dunno if it was just to get the fans onside. Don't like their new album and have gone off their first a bit. The Cribs are great... even better if they are in fact Town fans ;D Not an Embrace fan myself. I'm never usually in the ground til 3.10pm anyway so I don't know why it matters to me

God I hope they wouldn't play Dario G - Sunchyme it is awful beyond words. I hated it when we used to play it. They play it at a few football grounds and it is toss.

Now there speaks a boy with no sense of British music culture what-so-ever. Girls Aloud for you ? Westlife? Boy Zone? Let me guess your fave bands are the Beatles, Led Zep, the Who, the Stones Don't be rediculous. It's The Quo for me ;D Ah, singing Quo songs in The Cowshed. It's all coming back to me now. Oi Nurse, got any Quo?

The Keyboard player from Maximo Park is a Town fan, or at least he said he was on Soccer AM a while back.

The Jarman's in The Cribs aren't particularly interested in Football, but we're their favourite team (they're also one of the best British bands doing the rounds ). Johnny probably supports Man U or City?

Is he the one from Cleckheaton/Gomersal/Liversedge? (Whichever he is from).
I've heard that Embrace are Leeds fans and that aside, I don't rate them anyway - soppy crap if Iwere to be blunt.

Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town. Massive tune, we have a dream academy and are a northern town?? That YouTube clip is the newer and remixed version of the song. The original by Dream Academy is miles to slow. Wouldn't get the atmosphere going at all

Can't help you with that one - he speaks with a bit of a NE twang but that could be from his time at university maybe!?

Anarchy in the UK would work, actually...

I've always thought that the best sound for the players to come out to is applause and cheering from the fans. We don't need any music IMO. hurray im not alone - and let the opposition come out first to boos like they used to, and Town come out after - all these plastic attempts to raise the atmosphere just make us look like a bunch of ice hockey fans.

as anybody heard the warrior song? 'Warriors' by Blitz is a great song but I'm not sure we should play it to come out to if we ever want to be Family Club of the Year again. We'd be much better using 'Razors In The Night' instead.

At first I wasn't so sure, but I think its working well.
Well known, easy to sing along to and starts the fans chanting to na na na na na na ....hudders.
Some want rock, some want tradition, others nothing, others a dance track. This is at least well known, easy to sing to and leads into a town song.

Or if we were to use something a bit more modern for all them young kiddies Shock of the lightning? Personally if i had to chose 3 it would be my generation or the two i have just mentioned!

My Generation - totally unoriginal, what's it got to do with anything? 20th Century Boy - eh? come out to a glam rock track> Roll WIth It - who are we? Man City? How about some Embrace (town band) - Long Time Coming........that would be apt! I agree regarding My Generation. Kashmir - Led Zepellin would be a good choice, if somewhat predicatable. Or Anarchy in the UK We used Kashmir earlier in the season and it sounded poor. Good call for Anarchy though And an Embrace track would work for me as they are local But the key to entrance music giving the place some ooomph is to sort out our naff sound system, Quite simply it lacks bollocks !!!

Elbow - Grounds for divorce
Anthemic, big, loud and lots of oh-wow-wows for the crowd to go along with. And an awesome riff when it kicks in.

So you have a go at someone for liking The Beatles, Stones etc, being unoriginal, and then picked a song by a Brit award winner? Right out of left field that one ain't it!

Except I bought my first Elbow album back in 2001, just 8 years before the cognoscenti decided the band were good enough for wider adoration. Or should I stop liking them becuase they're popular? it just happens that the latest album is their best. How about that eh?!

As mentioned, Blur - Song 2 would be good. I'll throw Hey Boy Hey Girl by The Chemical Brothers into the mix, I wouldn't mind it much if we had that. If we are looking for obscure songs in terms of football entrances, something like Sabotage by The Beastie Boys wouldn't be ridiculous. It sounded ok on that advert on TV
