I think i win for the worst season's performance. Born July 87 and in season 1987/1988 we finished bottom of what is now the championship with only 28 points www.rsssf.com/engpaul/FLA/1987-88.html

I was born Fri 8 Oct 1971. Less than 24 hours later whilst being cradled by my mother at St. Lukes, Crosland Moor - a couple of miles away Town were entertaining Man U with legends such as Bobby Charlton, George Best & Dennis Law gracing our dearly departed Leeds Road hallowed turf. That was the 8th and final time that Law, Charlton and Best all scored in the same match.

1982-1983 3rd and promotion from the old division 3. Ditto, don't forget the cup win at L**ds plus great performances against Arsenal (unlucky to lose at highbury) and against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

84-85 - 13th In Canon League 2 (Championship) First season i started going was 91/92 when we lost to Peterborough in Playoffs. I can remember waiting outside the ground before that game well excited cos I'd found a balloon! Some things never change Fighting on pitch at the end was interesting for a 7 year old!

8 days before I was born Town ended 19th in Div 1 just 3 points above the drop zone. Chelsea were 1 place and 2 points BELOW Town, and Birmingham and Leicester were relegated. Thought I may be the oldest (occasional) poster, but you beat me by about 6 months. By the time I was born, the league had been abandoned due to Mr. Hitler. At least we only lost 2 games that season. ;D The scum were bottom and hadn't scored a goal !! Bloody Hitler spoit what could have been a good laugh ;D

Some things never change Fighting on pitch at the end was interesting for a 7 year old! I started to go regularly this season too! Missed the play off home leg though I actually cried when I found I wasn't going to Wembley. We so deserved to go up that season and if Marsden hadn't been cropped for half of it or Butler/Marsden were fit for play offs we'd 100% done it that year.

We used to have the Video of the Birmingham league game (I think) where (again, I think) Andy Leghorn broke Marsdens leg. Shocking challange. As he proved later in his career he was class.

I still have that video as it was only home game I missed that season due to a dodgy van I was in breaking down in Dundee ! I think it was Mark Cooper that did Marsden though. And it could well have been knee ligaments but close enough ! We were on our way down from 2nd division in my year as we went from 1st to 4th in about 4 seasons

Chris Marsden did his knee ligaments in. He came back for a reserve game a month later and it went again. We dropped down the league, then he and Butler come into the team and we win 7 draw one of last 8 games. Then Butler goes back and Marsden gets injured Ironically Mark Cooper came back next season on loan from Exeter during the Buxton great escape and scored some vital goals for us!!! I told him off for injuring Marsden the season before in the players bar after the last home game

The day I was born we were in Football League one.We played Man.Utd away and drew 2-2 courtesy of Alf Whittingham and Peter Doherty.
By heck buy my mum says dad was a proud man that day.
Due to the severe weather conditions in this particular year we had been unable to play fron 29 th January until the 15th March.

I take it he wasn't at the birth then? none of that namby pamby cutting the cord lark in them days. A severe winter for me too, so bad that I was born in December & didn't leave the house till March. Town finished 6th in division 2, only 4 pts from promotion & Orient were relegated from the top flight
