After the actions of West Yorkshire's finest and the resulting (farcical) claim from Leeds it was good to read in the paper of a club actual standing up to police and saying no a change of KO. As a result the cheeky b******s tried to make them play behind closed doors.
Taken from today's sun;
LINCOLN have slated police for trying to make them play behind closed doors.
Senior officers wanted the Imps’ trip to Grimsby played at an empty Blundell Park because of fears about crowd trouble.
The clubs refused their request for an early kick-off to their Lincolnshire derby clash on March 7.
And the game will now start at 3pm after council chiefs overruled police.
Lincoln chairman Steff Wright said: “The level of policing was out of proportion.”

Well done, Lincoln! Can't ever see us doing this though, can you? Scale is altogether different for L***s' Cup Finals ...

Scale might be different (thought Lincoln v Grimsby is probably the equivalent of the World Cup final in Lincs) but at least someone has had the balls to say no to the police whilst we, along with most clubs, seem to do whatever they want.

Crowd trouble at Grimsby v Lincoln? Yes that's a tasty fixture. There are some right nutters in Lincolnshire.
