To sort out the furore over Ken Bates hotel expenses claim.
A No. 10 spokesman has said "He sees this as being as big as the Suez crisis and has taken immediate steps to ensure that the situation can be brought under control and hope the Football League can then introduce a common sense law.."
Meanwhile, the Tories are claiming that this is a ploy by the Labour government to overshadow the existing row over Jacqui Smith's expenses & believe the story was leaked by Polish slapper or somebody like that...
