Went to watch the rugby Sale V Bristol at Edgeley Park last night and the pitch is as bad, or even worse, than it looks.
There's very little grass, muddy in a lot of places, and appears to be very hard.
Even the Sale supporters think it's a disgrace - see the message from their board below:
"We haven't had a game in what 3 weeks and the pitch was a disgrace, muddy patches all over and very little grass to be seen"
Off to Crewe now were the pitch is usually very good.

Bloody hell. That isn't good.
The surface at Crewe was fine it is such a narrow pitch. No room at all for Ainsworth and Roberts, and everything was forced down the centre.

Just watched Guinness Premiership highlights on ITV4. Edgeley Park looks like a throwback to the 70's, think Valley Parade in late Feb. Very little football can be played on it I would suggest so I don't reckon it will be a classic; hope we can out muscle them.

Looks like a velvet playing surface for Saturday. These are pictures from their last home game.
