Well done on the Hat Trick. It might only be in the reserves, but it will have done him good. I think he's taken his fair share of stick from the fans this season, and some of it has been deserved, but I've often felt he's put in a lot of effort for little reward, in the games he has played. (I thought he played particularly well, away against Leeds). Will have given some food for thought for Clark, and maybe we can use him as an impact sub, to replace Jutkevicz when he gets tired when there's just 76 minutes left to play.

He scores loads for reserves but totally different for first team imo. Maybe he will get a place on bench now after the 3 goals today !!

The pace in the reserves is far slower than first team. A number of occassions today where he took his time on the ball, he would have been tackled on a saturday. Dont want to take anything away from him but he was handed two of those goals on a plate.

3 goals is 3 goals who ever the opponent is.
A great confidence booster!

From what i have seen today, reserve team football is of a lesser standard than conference north

Did you know that in our last reserve meeting with Bradford, a Town striker scored a hat trick. One month later he moved to Gainsborough Trinity, so it didn't do Luke Beckett much good

It was like watching Walking With Dinosaurs everytime Conlon and Unsworth came together.
Not a pretty sight.

The way I see it, and I may be wrong, is that the town reserve team at the moment is just a shop window and town youngsters. I think Unsworth, Flynn, Parker will never play for Town again unless we get some serious injury problems.

I agree about Unsworth, but he will bring Franks on a treat & some of Unsworth's passes today were excellent - just not at first team level. I think Flynn has been unlucky & may still have a part to play, while Parker will defo feature again - possibly on bench on sat. I was hoping to see Jansen play today - does anyone know what happened to him?

our strikers seriously lack confidence, so i think that the quality they have shown in the past could come through if this confidence comes back.
