Nearly two years old that article
But yes it would. Works perfectly in Germany, just our officials are c**ts and obsessed with health and safety

There were many bad calls at Hillsborough and with serious respect to all the victims on that day and other similar crush incidents, Ibrox, Heysel etc., the real problem at HB was the fences put up to combat "hooliganism". Had they not been there, I'm sure there would have still been fatalities but not on the scale there were. I still remember exactly where I was that day, working nights in London so was in Covent Garden having a few beers and watched the start of it unfold in the pub, a shocking day...
Imagine this will be a very emotive subject, more to do with the fact as to who & where, but in some way? would it not be a tribute to the victims of HB if it was a Liverpool club who brought around a sea change in the mad PC world we live in? This has to be much more manage-able in modern stadium.
The irony is that if this ever happened, they'd have to make the standing section all-ticket for every game...
Or maybe not? Folk would be whinging about their legs aching, instead of their a**e...

South stand being a terrace would be better. Even if they only put it in the middle couple of blocks and kept the seats at the sides it'd be quality.

Standing at Football will NEVER happen again. Ever. Probably not in our country. Funny how this is safe in Germany...

It would be great if it happened,
i love going to away games like Accrington or Kidderminster where it is a standing terrace. It is a much better atmosphere in my opinion anyway!

As you say if you only allow a certain amount of people in (all ticket) there's no problem.

I was in Germany the other week and went to watch Werder Bremen v Milan and the football experience over there is so much better than ours. No aggressive police tactics (None in the ground at all), no gobby stewards (they were only around pre-ko to guide you to your seat), you could stand if you wanted to and most importantly you could drink in the stand. The atmosphere was incredible that night and all because the Germans can use common sense here's their standing area:

just shows our country is too PC and goes OTT with H+S if in germany you can stand, and drink,no stewards,no police, and not get any trouble, but we're stuck with daft numbers of police, and daft numbers of stewards
