When will that radio Leeds Buffoon stop tempting fate ?
He just said 'well its in the bag here' - low and behold they go score.
Every time he says something like that they go score !! Its never over till the fat lady sings

The moment those words came out of his mouth was the reason we lost the lead

You'd think he'd watched Town enough times to know better than to say things like that, though.

Agree that he speaks too soon but it doesn't "tempt fate".
That is a load of bull.

It is true that he tempts fate though, and lets be honest, football revolves around superstition, and routines and habits. Look how the Liverpool players jump up and touch the sign as they walk down the tunnel at Anfield. Players that have a ritual meal bedore each game, and all that business. Oggy needs to keep his trap shut.

Wondered how long it would be before Oggy got the blame for Town's failure to win.
He seems to have taken over from Matt Glennon on that front.

Reading this post I have to wonder is it not possible to be
a) Not to be blamed for the result ; and
b) Nonetheless talking sh*8te too soon.
Reading some poster's comments (a) and (b) are mutually exclusive.

i have spoken to oggy a lot lot of times and he is a very nice man. yes he may have said that 'we had it in the bag' although i didnt get back into radio leeds signal area to hear him. yuu sound utterly ridiculous complaining about oggy. i would like to see yuu 'sameoldstory' do a better job than him. when i cant make a game i am perfectly happy listening to paul ogden on radio leeds.

when i go for my 4 mile saturday run at 06.30..... yesterday i kept landing on the yellow lines around bus stop markings, if I do it Town dont win, thats why they made us concede the own goal.... and i wont be told anything else !!

Yes Oggy says things like "Huddersfield have won" in about the 83rd minute and then we concede goals.
And yes some players have superstitions. But they don't hear Oggy speaking on the radio so as far as they are concerned NOTHING changes.
"Fate" has nothing to do with it. If Clark was an moron and used that as an excuse, we would be calling for his head. But he isn't and fate doesn't exist.

It doesn't work that way, you need to prove that it DOES exist

I knew they were going to score because we can't finish teams off. Simple as. Although they weren't in the game you just knew it was coming.

This thread needs to be sent to bed because whatever Oggy said the Stockport commentator said the opposite whilst I was listening to him....like 'we look up for the equaliser'. Unfortunately the God of fate and superstition sided with a Manc along with 1000 or so other Mancs who were tempting fate upon their team.
Why we bother to debate these things is beyond my wife!

What annoyed me was the fact I was listening to radio Leeds and the t0553r who was doing the round up said something like...."there's been a goal at edgeley park" and then proceeded not to say who had scored for about ten minutes. As if he would have kept the Leeds score waiting that long

I never said I disliked Oggy in fact I enjoy listening to them on the radio (when I cant make games) so much so quite often I listen to them whilst being at the games. Far better than that Pope bloke and Rich Tea man. Just wish hed keep 'weve won it' comments until we have actually won it.

It annoys me because you really cannot use this as a excuse we switched off and conceded a sloppy goal in the last minute it came because of two reasons:
A) We have not got the ability to kill of teams when we are dominating. B) We cannot play to the final whistle of games its unbelievable how many goals we have conceded in the final 5 mins of either half.
