I don't think we'll get in the play offs (and haven't for a few weeks).
HOWEVER.
I did some maths with my failsafe 100% guaranteed no money returned prediction algorithm. And the final table looks like this...
Leicester 101-102 MK Dons 90-91 ------------------- Peterborough 82 Oldham 75 Millwall 73 Town 73 ------------------- Leeds 72 Tranmere 71 Scunthorpe 69 Stockport 69 Colchester 68

The players aren't playing for the club like they we're when Murphy had control. Don't know why or how he did it, but he seemed to be able to give the players that little bit of extra belief, and ability to play to the whistle. Clark needs to sort this out asap. Are you being serious??!!!! I agree partly with floyd - there is a softness in the players mentally, particularly those who have come through the academy. They all have some talent and are neat and tidy, but too often they undo all the hard work with lapses in concentration! Leicester away was a prime example - for long spells we played the better football and created chances, but going to sleep at set pieces cost us any chance of a result. Leicester away- the game where Butler was beaten in the air for 3 of their goals by Howard and where Goodwin ,Roberts, Parker and Jevons all disappeared totally for the final 30 minutes? Yet its the home grown players who take the blame???

It isnt all the home grown players fault - but dont think Butler is the answer alongside Clarke as he seems to be too much of a nice guy also! Who is in charge of the players on the pitch? Holdsworth? He is like a mouse! We need a leader - someone to shake things up on the pitch - our defence is far too soft to mount a serious challenge - surely people can see that? As for "these things happen" - yeah they do - only to us though. Reckon we must have been the only team to concede a 91st minute equaliser via our own centre back's face ;D

Someone like Page yeah.
Bring in a couple like Darren Bullock / Ronnie Jepson / Tom Cowan / Peter Jackson and we will be ok! ;D

felt to me that Page was one of the major catalysts in the turnaround last season - massive asset.

The chances of Town making the play offs disappeared when the transfer window ended.
If it were based on dominating teams, creating chances & playing good football, it would be nailed on. Trouble is, it ain't. Its based on something we haven't got - strikers to put the ball in the net.
Since Parker scored the winner against Crewe in Ternent's last match, there have been 19 games - only in 2 of those have any striker scored. That has got to be some sort of record.
The saying 'footballs about scoring goals' has never been more apt than at the moment describing Town's chances.

Spot on rocky. Im as disappointed with Clark as i was with Turnip, in his failure to land the proven, prolific striker we NEED. Like his predicesor he had plenty of time and resources to solve the problem and failed. You can have a sexy looking Aston Martin bodywork all you like, but if the engine is a 1.0 L from a Micra, its going to go nowhere fast!

The comment which rings most true on here is the one which states,if we cannot score more than 1 goal per game,we are going nowhere, and that uncludes next season and the season after that..ad infinitum! Everyone who follows Town KNEW at the beginning of the season that the current stike force was inadequate{I was going to put shite}and subsequent managers have FAILED to improve it..If the loan window is still open ...Is there anyone out there???

I'M AN OPTIMIST BUT EVEN I THINK THIS IS NOW RIDICULOUS!!! If you're right, I'll gladly eat my Town hat with real pleasure.......i'll need a little ketchup on it tho if you don't mind. (Coincidently tho - i've always believed Town will sneek in PO's in last minute of last game at LeytonO - but to nick last spot of L**Ds will be ecstasy!!!!)
