When we appointed Clark there was alot of optimism around the place, however we all said we have to give him this season to build a squad for next year, to get a run going at the end of this season to carry onto next. Promotion this year would have been a huge bonus, considering where we were when Stan was sacked. Just because we are now capable of the playoffs, and are only a few points off them, it is vital that we don't get on the managers and the players backs if this is not achieved! Clark is new to the managing world, and he will learn from mistakes made this year, everyone makes them, but he and the team WILL come good, I'm almost certain of that. The football he has got us playing, and the passion he shows on the touchline and interviews is a step above the Ternants and the Ritchies in the past, and we are very lucky to have such a man. The little digs at Clark after this weekends result need to stop (even if it was the minority), its not going to do anyone any good. Being a town fan is something to be proud of again and the excitement that was lacking a few years ago is back again, and i for one look forward to every single match again. So lets give the boys time and things will come good, I'm almost certain of it UP THE TOWN!!

Amen.
A few people seem to have forgotten that he is only about 2 months into the job. I hope people realise that and lay off him until he has a pre-season.

Next season with a couple of strikers and strengthen midfield Town will be challenging for automatic, Clark has got to be given all of next season and will be unless we were in bottom few and that wont happen.

He's doing his apprenticeship, he's going to make a few wrong decisions but he will learn from them. And he is still handicapped by the fact that we still have no strikers who can actually find the back of the net which is not really his fault. He has got the players playing some decent football so we're almost there. Keep the faith.

It'll be an achievement considering where we were after Turnip had weaved his 'magic'.
Give it a real good shot next season after a full pre-season. We will be there-a-bouts.
UTT.

Well said Samhudds. Lee Clark and his team are in it for the long term. He's done well so far when you consider where we were when Ternent went, the absolute rubbish we were watching and the depressing atmoshere aroung the pharm. After such a long wait for a Town team near the top of the pyramid I for one can wait a bit longer and enjoy the prospect of not only a good shot at promotion next year but to watch a team that plays attractive football and srikers who can conssitently score . The last point is absolutely essential, though Im sure Lee and his team do not need telling. UTT.and be patient, we have the makings of an excellent side.

Here here.
Since turnip left we have been a top play off team. Just a shame turnip had the 15 or so games!

Im enjoying watching hudds town right now,ok we will have our ups and downs but we got some good players here who will get us promoted. There is areas of the team that need strengthening and some dead wood to get shut of. Im looking now towards next season. 2 good strikers i.e lambert, butler, decent midfield and away we go..

Who is getting on his back???
I've never known a town gaffer with such universal support from the fans and if anything does go awry its all Stan's fault anyway.

Well plenty of other teams managed to get strikers in, who were a, fit and b, could actually be allowed to play. Shambles IMO.

No point making a signing for the sake of it when we are more likely to get a better one in in the summer is there?

There aren't any and it is another good example why this ridiculous 'window' system does not work and should be scrapped for our level of football, It was designed for the Champions League and there it should remain whilst proper football is played out traditionally

Gerry & Mitch didn't do too badly to get things back on track after the disaster of Turnip, it's just a pity that Clarky can't get the away form improved.
But like people say, early days yet.
