www.htafc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10312~1572920,00.html Quite dissapointed tbh, i would have let him go as i think we need more quality but i must admit i'd rather have him tahn Lucketti or Unsworth Was good before his injury lets hope he redescovers that form

I think Tom is more than capable of coming in and doing a job and his versatility is a big plus. No problem with this at all.

To my mind he is a top class player who has been very unfortunate not to have had the chance to shine through one reason or another. He would have been the better choice rather than Lucketti on Sat, but Clark still has things to learn. Devoted, 100% and loyal ............add his undoubted talent to that and you have an ideal HTFC player that we will all grow to love. I am quite delighted rather than disappointed that he has signed. Lee Clark and his advisors ratchet up another notch in my estimation

agree 100% grist, people have short memories. He came on against the eventual premier league champions chelsea in the FA cup and changed the game that year. He has always been on of my preferred players at town, if collins didn't keep on scoing (obvs a good thing) then clarke would of got a place in the starting eleven by now.

I'm assuming he's not on much of a wage as he's not done enough to earn a new contract in my opinion. Admittedly, he has struggled with injury and not had a decent run in the side. The main problem is deciding on his position - I think he has to play centre-back as he's not good enough to command a position in midfield or quick enough to play full-back. This seems to have been backed up by the Bradford fans I have asked about him. He did reasonably well at first, but then didn't really cut it when he was on loan in the bottom division so if we're wanting to progress to the Championship and beyond, I don't see how this decision was made unless it was along the lines of the Boulding brothers!

I agree, he's not done enough really. Represents reasonable cover for I assume (or hope) will be peanuts compared to our high earners.
Just hope we consider carefully the contracts we renew before packing out the squad with mediocre league 1 players. I know Tom can play CB and CM but for my money, we'll need to bring a quality first team player in each of those positions over the summer. We all know our central midfield as it stands isn't good enough over 46 games to mount a promotion push. Tom can't be expected to solve that problem.

Surely we need to be signing a better quality of player than this. Would most likely have been shown the door by Ternent and most likley would have ended up at Harrogate like Young and Hardy etc, or league two at best. Upshot he's been very lucky to get this contract.

Have you seen him play since he was last in the first team? The best decisions are made by the best management team we have had in decades. For an ill-informed restricted observer to comment as you have done does you no favours. The real team have seen him perform and like what they see. So do I.

He said in the examiner interview that even he didnt know where his future lied mid season, so i think it's a pretty fair to say that he would have been on his way, so i don't see how that makes me an ill-informed restricted observer! I aint gonna change my view that we need a better class of player.

we can't keep signing new players and keep the old ones as well. To me this reduces the option of a further signings Personaly can't see Tom playing in the championship so why keep him?
