Not sure what was up with Ainsworth tonight .. just didnt seem bothered ... Colchester deserved the draw to be fair .. they closed us down quickly won everthing in the middle of the field .. their big lad up front caused us a few problems .. and they seemed to cope with the conditions better. Said on the radio before the game that its now been approx 11 months since our last mid-week league win ... there must be something wrong with our midweek preparations to have a record like that

We didin't deserve anything tonight, even though it was a penalty and a top quality free quick, for both incidents our team were to blame for not closing down and playing defensive for a one goal victory

Indeed, was his pass (and thunderbolt effort beforehand). A masterstroke of a substitution

....and Lukas was completely f****d, again. So can't disagree with that either.
Ainsworth? Well I would have brought him on too so hey. I'm a crap manager aswell.
Clark was shouting and waving for people to push up so I don't think he's ordering them to sit back on the lead. Colchester were playing 4 upfront at the end so added some pressure and got what they deserved. They bullied us out of the game and closed us down, fair play to them.

Craney was excellent once he came on, that was a good sub, took lukas off too early, I'm sorry but booth isn't good enough anymore, and taking cads off just spoilt our shape, and why did pilks go up front for cads and ains go on right, ainsworth is meant to have spent most of his career up front, no need to change everything else.
More than anything why do we drop so deep and give up trying to keep possession? They weren't in it while we were attacking, why not keep doing it to keep them our?!?

What was he supposed to do?
Goodwin sub was understandable
Boothy was the right sub
Cadamarteri has been out for a few weeks and started 2 games in 4 days - again, another understable sub.
If anything, it highlights even nore the need for another striker rather than moving half the team around.

Funny how on Saturday it was all Clark's fault because he went defensive by bringing on Lucketti. Apparently its all his fault tonight after making 3 attacking substitutions (all of which I thought were spot on). Must be fun being a manager.
And it was definitely Craney who hit the bar boxster.

Thought it was Craney m'sen.
Don't think the subs were particularly poor, but tactically we couldn't cope with their deep lying no.8 (Hammond? Scored the free kick). The only time we looked better was for 15 minutes in the second half when we got about 'em. But mostly we couldn't pick him up and he pulled the strings. I'd love a player like him at Town but most of you'd moan because he wasn't teararsing about clattering into tackles.
Clark must really really get this lots heads right. Our more skilful players must learn when NOT to try and do something flashy. We must learn to keep simple possesion and when to play the Hollywood ball.
I could type more but generally I want to sit here saying AAAAARRRGGGHHHH at the frustration of it all. Off to listen to some brutal metal to let off some steam \m/

Out of interest Boxster what did you make of our young superstar goalies positioning on the free kick!!?? Good call Midge. As soon as it was set up, I pointed this out and predicted exactly where it was going in. Oh well he's got four years to sort it out. And his kicking while he's at it.

He was stood at least 2 yards off the line, I'm assuming he thought he was going to blast it rather than loop it in, though to be fair with his quick feet he had a better chance of stopping it than most.
