Is there a relation between the number of late goals we concede and the sides mentality to sit deep after they've got in front?
It points to me that once we get our noses in front we change our mentality, stop being positive and start thinking negatively and rather than looking for another goal and with it a cushion (when was the last time we won by three goals in the league?) we instead sit deep and try to hold what was we have (no idea how many leads we've let slip?)
It's surely a mental thing but promotion winnings sides shouldn't be losing the leads with the regularatory we do, especially away from home, in the last month we've let leads slip at Leicester (twice), Crewe and Stockport ... getting one point from winning positions won't get a team promoted!
Over to Blackie!
As an aside is Lee Clarke the most unlucky manager in the Football League, when are we going to score a "special goal" rather than be on the receiving end of free kicks like last night or 30 yard drives like against Oldham!

You're right and Lee Clark certainly agrees from his comments.
Teams are always going to be vunarable to late goals after its happened a couple of times because it will be playing on their mind that little bit more.
I think its down to a number of things, lack of goal threat, a bit of nervousness because we're under pressure to win every game to get into the play offs, a bit more nervousness because we've lost a couple of leads recently, and quite a bit of bad luck. Maybe our luck will change next season.

Craney almost popped up with one last night, was a right strike

One of the basic rules of defending, one which I was taught when i used to play under 7's back in the day ;D When you clear the ball from the area... push out!!! Their strikers will not be rushing back after a decent attack, so any through balls will see them caught offside (as long as we have a competant linesman, but judging from ones previously......;D) Keiran made a decent point on Radio L**ds though.... about how Lucketti, in his experience, will try and get the lads to push out, but will hang back a bit because a ball over the top would beat him, due to lack of pace

Why didnt Town leave Ainsworth or Roberts up so there is an outlet when we clear our lines?
