There is no doubt in my mind that Lee is the man for the job and I cant believe people are already starting to question him.. What some people on here have been coming out with is crazy - especially after saying when he was appointed we will give him this season free.. He will need time and I think the recent results are mainly down to the players, he has made a few bad calls tactically but he will learn - its his first managing job and he will learn from everything, good or bad. If we had a decent striker i'm sure no one would be complaining as we would be winning a lot more games, without a doubt. He is trying to make the best of what he has been given, which is a team with a lot of talent but very inconsistent/hot and cold. He managed to get Pilkington and Ainsworth in the January transfer window - both which I am sure will be very good players for us, just imagine the quality he can bring in in the summer with a bit of time. I cant remember a manager that has the mentality/positivity/determination Lee has apart from maybe Jacko. I dont think this negativity towards him will help at all, get behind him and he will eventually get it right and get us promoted - I am sure of it. Changing managers every season is not good and thats probably why we are so inconsistant.. We wont get a better man for the job, just give him time please! He is under such a massive ammount of pressure! How many people think Stan could have got Smithies to stay!? Oh thats right.. he wasnt even in his team and would no doubt of gone this summer - shop window or not. If we are still mid table this time next year I might start to question him, but jesus.. 3 months, seriously.. As someones already said the grass is not always greener on the other side! I'm sure i'm not the only one who thinks like this though. /rant

To question Clark so soon is ridiculous... I think his tactics are fine - it seems to be getting the players to follow them which he struggles with.. He's stated that he tries to get them to be more positive after we score and to press and put teams on the back foot but it's the players who aren't adhering... To me it seems that he requires further time in which to impose his and his management teams ideas. Plus 2 decent strikers as all of ours are shoite

Clark and the back room staff are definately the way to go for me. See who he can bring in in the summer and let him build his own team. He's taken over a decent set of players and added to that with Pilks and Ainsworth (Think Pilks will go on to be a top player for us). A lot rests on what strikers we can get.

Brilliant set up, the team is going the right way... next season we will be up there defo. Our only problem is the need for two decent strikers imo.. chill out !!

I also dont know why people are already writing Ainsworth off! Cads isnt going to be around for ever and I think with some work Ainsworth could be a very good replacement for him. Hes still very young and has a lot of potential.

I agree that Clark is the right man for the job and we are definitely moving forward and I can accept a very poor performance last night, as this is the first bad home performance we've produced under him.
However, I'm disappointed to read that he thought the team were to blame last night as they should have gone on to score 3 or more goals because it was his tactics to go 4-5-1 when he brought Ainsworth on. We were controlling the game, looking comfortable rather than dominant, at 2-1, yet instead of playing Ainsworth up top off St. Andrew, he decided to hand the initiative back to a Colchester team that never threatened once from open play in the second half.
I bet I wasn't the only person in the ground to turn to my mate & say 'You know where this free kick is going don't you?'

I totally agree, the work that Clark, Hoyle and the rest is going well and we need to be patient I believe it will come about soon, I also agree that the players need to take responsibilty for their actions recently and if we had a prolific striker he would help the confidence of the team and we would be of a more positive attitude
