seen tom clarke + craney mantioned
i'd like to see
smithies
holdsworth butler clarke/luckettie williams
craney tom clarke (sitting in front of back 4) colllins
roberts cads pilkington
dont think jutkiewitz has been good at all, so i'd rather us line up like this
also, might mean we see holdsworth + williams moving forward more

I would have though Crainey would come in, he did well on Tuesday night, but it worries me a bit that we could be lacking a little 'bite' in midfield. Him and Collins aren't exactly the strongest tacklers. Oh for Worthington.

Just bring Craney in for Goodwin. Maybe Booth for Jutkiewicz. Roberts, Cads and Pilkinton up front will just become nobody up front, because they'll all naturally drop off and drift wide.

Smities Holdsworth,Clarke or Lucketti,Buts,Werling Ainsworth,Craney,Collins,Roberts Pilks,Cads Subs, Easty,Tom C,Berrett,Lukas,Boothy
Pack the team with pace and lets have a right go at Millwall, weve nothing to lose we need to win the game so lets go for it, nothing against Williams I think he has done ok recently gone for Werling purely for his pace and his ability to get forward.

I think with Collins and Goodwin in midfield we've massively missed some creativity from the centre of midfield with regards to someone who can unlock defences from the centre. Player styles make for what you should select, Millwall usually have Bolder and I think Henry in the midfield who are more steely and a midfield duo of Craney and Collins may struggle to get a foothold in the game as Bolder would probably dominate. Therefore I think we need an anchor in midfield who can tackle... When you look at our options they're rather limited.
Berrett - Good player but maybe not steely enough. Craney - Can sit deep and pick out those killer passes but can he hold his position without advancing too far? Collins - Collins is a box to box player who scores goals... He's not an anchor and he's not particularly creative. Clarke - More of a centre back and not had L1 experience this season although has apparently impressed recently. Harris - Too inexperienced Nightingale - too inexeperienced and lightweight Holdsworth - No cover at right back if he plays in the middle.
I think it's a close call between Berrett, Craney and Clarke and wouldn't be surprised to see at least 2 of them involved at some point...

In the (IMO unnecessary absence of Worthy) I'd be going with Berrett and Collins
Berrett and Holdsworth did a job on Brum 14 months ago so I have full faith Berrett and Collins (who is just as hard working as Holdsworth) can handle Millwall. I don't subscribe to the theory Berrett is light weight or soft because he showed playing centre back he has the ability to get stuck in
Craney is though too soft and lacks the engine, when he plays we tend to get over run in midfield IMO. Tom Clarke is a possible but I don't see the point in selecting him over Berrett to be honest
Pilkington is a winger end of. Harris too young and a unneccessary gamble for a game of this importance (although would be nice to see Lee Clark give a couple of academy lads debuts once the play offs become realistically impossible)
As I said the other day, how about Holdsworth in the middle and Berrett at right back? Berrett did nothing wrong to get dropped (was the victim of a change of formation) so for me 100% deserves the chance to get back in the side now Goodwin is suspended

Nothing aginst Tom but i've not seen him play this season

Berrett for me. He needs more first team games if he's gonna progress into a top player. Something he looks more than capable of from what i've seen from him so far

your sayin harris and nightingale are too inexperienced, well by playing them would give them experience, they are both gd players and will get a shot soon in my opinion. Berrett is a definate starter for me along wth tom clarke or collins and either harris or nightingale ;D
