The man speaks sense. I'll give him 2 seasons at least, unless we look like being relegated at any point next year. Which we won't.
Viva Lee Clark. Viva Huddersfield Town.

Sounds like a a few fringe players might get a whirl (not hint!) Tom to replace Holdsworth maybe. Was his rant about players not giving their all a go at Jutkiewich? What about Jevons playing alongside Booth, not many more options!

Its alright talking sense to the press, we've had a few managers who excell at that. It's getting across to the players and he hasn't shown thus far that he can do that

Yes but i dont see how things are going to be much different next season when the core of the team is going to be the same. Dean Hoyle has said that we will be getting two strikers and then maybe 1 or 2 more. Hardly the overhaul needed imo but Stan has fooked it for us big time

Clark needs 2-3 years.
These things aren't built overnight and we should stop looking for these short term fixes.
I'm 100% behind him.

I've a lot of time for Clark.
I think he's now realising that the players at his disposal aren't as good as he was.

I have this mental image of Clark ticking some players' names off as not being good enough for what he has envisioned with each successive game. I think he could be quite ruthless in the summer if Dean gives him the funds to do it. Stan started it but made a few poor choices as well as some OK ones. I think Clark wants to build a relatively young side with genuine Championship potential that can develope together over the next couple of seasons.

Hardly the overhaul needed imo but Stan has fooked it for us big time Ternent wanted to carry out the overhaul you are after. That was the heart of the confrontation that resulted in him leaving. Our better players this season have been the ones he signed. Roberts is the best player we've had in years. We definitely missed Goodwin yesterday. Butler has been outstanding and one man who people have ranted about for months as a wasted signing - Lucketti - has been our best player in the last two games. So Ternent got 15 games. How many has Clark had. Seems you want to get rid of him now.

I find it sad that people are already having to say 'give him time etc' after what 15 games because some have already got on the managers back, Jesus! Why do some Town fans refuse to think in the long term? is it just a big game - we hire a manager a few bad results then 'he's crap', continue to get on his back, perhaps even stir some things up and then the 'Gerry is the messiah' until inevitably he loses his job and the cycle starts again? - this attitude needs to stop as we've achieved a massive **** all with it.
Thank god Dean's got sense, will give Clark a good backing in the summer and he'll be able to get the right players for his team.

Have to agree.... he will be given all next season and the bloke will develop all the club not just first team.... we all know the massive problem in needing some STRIKERS !! this will get sorted for next season and some other players !!

I`m a bit worried that many expect us to storm the league next season after buying two or three players.
Football doesn`t always work that way.

Yep me too, most fans expect it, which will mean massive expectation next season. Even O'Regan was stating next season will be massive.THere will be massive pressure on clark (and Hoyle) to deliver a title winning season. Prepare to be dissapointed if massive changes in the squad arent made in the summer.

Make your judgements in the close season, when playing staff come and go. I was pissed off about Town messing it up again a few week back. I have know now seen the bigger picture as Blue army 86 says. Although i still won't be giving you my sort code blue army 86. What you were on about i don't know.

How many has Clark had. Seems you want to get rid of him now. Roberts has been too hot and cold to be even the best player this year, never mind any others, pretty good overall but inconsistant aswell. Yes, we missed Goodwin yesterday, mainly because a ST signing in Craney was so inept filling in his role but we also missed Worthington who would clearly be the best player to play that role but for some bizarre reason isn't here to pick and is going to be dumped without being given a chance by Clark. Aswell as roberts our best players have been Clarke , Collins ,Smithies and Cads. Butlers been decent, but no where near 'oustanding'. His passing is woefull for one thing. And Lucketti-our best player yesterday? Sorry, don't get that one at all. Ternent ripped to pieces the team that finished last season so strongly and couldn't even get the best out of the players he did sign, Goodwin being a good example. The 18 games he got was 18 too many.

Roberts has been too hot and cold to be even the best player this year, never mind any others, pretty good overall but inconsistant aswell. And he works his nuts off when his form dips. We'll have to disagree. He's the best signing we've made in years. Yes, we missed Goodwin yesterday, mainly because a ST signing in Craney was so inept filling in his role Both Collins and Craney were overrun, Captain. I think the midfield mix was wrong. Berrett would have been a better replacement for Goodwin. but we also missed Worthington who would clearly be the best player to play that role but for some bizarre reason isn't here to pick and is going to be dumped without being given a chance by Clark. We have to disagree again. Worthington can't play Goodwin's playmaker role. The manager doesn't think so, either, because he's sent him on his way. Aswell as roberts our best players have been Clarke , Collins ,Smithies and Cads. Butlers been decent, but no where near 'oustanding'. His passing is woefull for one thing. And Lucketti-our best player yesterday? Sorry, don't get that one at all. Clarke has had a better season. He actually flourished under Ternent, who gave him his chance when Lucketti was injured and kept faith with him after Lucketti recovered. Collins has been great in patches. He started the season in the team, was crap and so he was dropped. He's scored some vital goals, but if you think Roberts drifts in and out of games you need to take a closer look at Collins. Smithies hasn't played enough to be our best player this season. And Cads certainly hasn't played enough games. He never will. That's why I wouldn't give him another contract. I wonder whether Lee Clark is having second thoughts given his comments about his absence on Saturday. Lee Clark, himself, has picked out Butler for praise. And Clark also agrees with me that Lucketti was probably our best player over the last two games. Ternent ripped to pieces the team that finished last season so strongly and couldn't even get the best out of the players he did sign, Goodwin being a good example. The 18 games he got was 18 too many. Ternent started taking apart a team that most on this board had been saying simply wasn't good enough. People who had been at the club for a long time inevitably opposed his attempts to change things. They won and Ternent went after a handful of games. It seems clear that Lee Clark also thinks the regime at Town needs changing. The signs are that he may get his way. Unless, of course, the locals who are now after his head get their way after 15 games. Oh, your reference to Goodwin at full back. Ternent tried him at full back as an emergency because Andy Holdsworth had been so poor. Others on this board agree that Holdsworth has been poor. We need a right back.
