Can anyone think of a better management team outside the Premiership than Clark, McDermott, Faz and Black? I can't. Just think they need time, a pre-season and few acquisitions especially up front. Discuss.

Someone said to me the other day, what have any of them actually done to be classed as the best. Just because they have coached in the premier league proves nothing except that their ability as players meant they were more likely to get jobs in coaching. They were at Newcastle when they did ok but thats about as good as it gets.
Happy to be proved wrong but i dont think they can be classed as the best outside the premier league until they provide a reason to be classed that way

They stormed up the leagues, and very nearly won the premier league! I'd say that was a bit better than "ok"... Fazackerly was also a coach for England and Man City, again, you don't usually get such roles unless you are at the top of your profession. Steve Black - Jonny Wilkinson is on record stating how much of an impact Black had on his career, and he is a renowned sports psychologist and performance/fitness coach. I'd say our backroom staff is amongst the best in the country, I'd take our current set up than any in our league, championship and most of the premier league.... E.g. our backroom staff, or the likes of Southgate, Megson, Kinnear, etc...?

Seen alot of stick for Steve Black on here, and on Radio Leeds.
'Why are we conceding when he is meant to be making them winners?' 'What is his psychology degree for?'
Etc, repeat, ad lib until fade.
My question to these people would be...
If the players can't motivate themselves to get the team into the play-offs then why are they playing football for town, and football in general?

We also have too many negative fans. negative or realistic? There is a difference you know Negative. We don't need crowds the size of Newcastle's to do it / we have the money thanks to Hoyle / we're acquiring a squad of players good enough. I'm not certain that we will, but we've certainly got the ability to.

No but i'd say us doing what newcastle did (runners up in premier league) is unrealistic, which afterall is what all this was about
