Another dreary – boring and ultimately LOOSING afternoon at the Galpharm. Admittedly the strong wind had a spoiling effect on the game and probably eliminated any chance of either side playing any passing football. But; this does not excuse lack of fitness and commitment – qualities shown in plenty by Millwall. The most annoying aspect, yet again, of the game was the (non) performance of our “Premiership” striker. Andy Booth demonstrated more determination (and speed ) in the period he was on the pitch than our Polish friend has shown in all the time he’s been here… I’ve - almost - given up hope of a place in the play-offs, so yet another season of third division mediocrity is just over the horizon. The interview in which Terry Mac was talking on Radio Leeds about being in the Premiership in a few years became utterly risible as the dreary game wore on. Can anyone explain to me the difference between the gash we’re being served up now and the stuff that got Jacko, Post leaner, & Stan, the bullet?? I notice that the bogeyman Mr Davy and his nefarious activities has re-surfaced on this board ???so no doubt the miserable performance of our team since the turn of the year is at his door rather than that of a manager who has made a very dubious loan signing (Lukas) and an extremely iffy permanent signing (Lionel – who looks about as good a Malvin!) and a “fitness & psychology guru” who has put on the field a team that seem to be taken to the cleaners in the closing stages of too many games. Does anyone seriously think that just because Mr. Hoyle “thinks like we, the fans, do” that there is any hope whatsoever of any improvement in the next few seasons. If so please say so and persuade me that I’m not flushing next year’s season ticket money down the toilet along with that of the last few years. Utterly negative – which reflects the mood this evening – but I went to the ground today predicting (hope against hope!!) that Lukas would score a “complete” hat-trick (left, right, head.) that’s either extremely optimistic or a candidate to send for the men in white suits… UTT
