I think some people on here need to hold their hands up and say Millwall deserved the points today...
The determination their defender showed to break-away from his own penalty area, run the whole pitch and then lay it on a plate for their midfielder is something our players should aspire to do.
Some are saying that their winner was offside, but I was pretty much in line with it and I think the replay will show their midfielder coming from behind a Town defender.
Mentions in dispatches for Williams, but I thought Smithies kept us in the match at times with a few good saves and the crossbar did come to our rescue twice.
It pains me to say it, but the best team won today. Anyone else agree, deep down?

I don't think either side played particularly well today. Millwall defended well but didn't offer much up front, Smithies didn't have a lot to do, and we were below par. Think 1-1 would have been fair.

I don't think they dererved it a point would have been fair IMO. After they scored we were all over them after a dull first half. I agree though, if only our players had the determination to go on to win. Could you really see Lucketti running the length of the pitch? It doesn't excuse our players not getting back however.
We were pushing for a winner when they scored it has to be said.

I don't think we looked like scoring at all until, well, we did.
They hit the bar twice, albeit once from our own player's head.
They were defensively very solid and, considering they only played with one up front, they did create a fair few chances.

As he ran down the wing I flashed a look up to the box and saw that their player was at least a pace ahead. Looked back to the man and he crossed it. As he crossed it you could clearly see the woman was in line with the assistor and not the line of defence. Millwall deserved whatever they got from the game. But I can't help feeling we have some of the shittest officials going.

You win some, you lose some. Although we didn't score from it, we were awarded one of the softest ever penaltys against Millwall earlier in the season. It was about a yard outside the area!

To be fair and without a hint of sour grapes I think Millwall are crap and were there to be beaten. They had a good start to the season and despite being 4th are now clinging on a bit. I'll be surpised if they make the playoffs and even more surprised if they go up.

Agree 100% with terriertom----woodwork saved us twice. If this is the standard of play off teams however it confirms this is truly an awful division

Draw would have been fair imo , tbh I thought millwall were very ordinary and look at what position they are in.... very poor division indeed. If we get more than 2 draws in next 2 games I will be speechless !!

Sometimes honesty is the best policy however big a Terrier you are.......
We were crap yesterday and once again let down by our inability to get a striker in the true sense of the word.
Boothy's appearance put it all in perspective - what it is like to scare opposing Centre Halfs and look a threat whenever a ball is pinged into the area.

Got to agree with you terriertom, the better team won. Thought the first 45mins was as bad as we've seen under Clark. Millwall weren't much better but definately better than us.

You could tell that they'd been playing together a long time. They were a unit, whereas we haven't had time to become one yet. They were better yesterday, I'd agree. However, you could take that positively and conclude that when we've had time to build into a unit we'll be fine, as I'm 99% sure we'll end up being a lot better than Millwall.

Milwall were no world beaters, but they did the basics very well. Just goes to show how small the difference is between being midtable and being in the top six.

The number of times we've lost to sides who are average at best can only mean that we're a very average side ourselves. We show flashes occassionally but on the whole don't do the simple things particularly well. We look dodgy at the back, have little to no movement upfront and when goodwin doesn't play are soft as shit in the middle. That said I'm still reasonably optimistic that Clark will sign at least 1 decent striker and hopefully a full back, although I had a horrible nightmare that we signed useless-a-vitch for 500K in the summer.

I thought millwall were average at best, still think hereford have been the best team we've played at home this season(thank god their strikers were worse than ours). What a crap league this is,which makes our attempts harder to stomach

If Clark even gets enough time to turn us into a unit. Jackett has managed to turn Millwall into a promotion-challenging team on fairly limited resources. We are midtable, despite having spent more than Leeds have done in the past two seasons alone. I know who I'd back to win promotion next year; it's the team whose fans have realistic expectations of their manager, and know Rome wasn't built in a day.

Given time Clark and co WILL deliver. I am sure of that. You can see the team he's trying to put together that has pace, awareness. We need more grit and more teeth for our toothless attack. The latter being obvious for the past couple of seasons.

How we got through to half time at 0-0 was a miracle.
Outplayed yesterday for most of the game.

I wasn't in the least bit surprised that it was 0-0 at half time. Most uninspiring, dull and scrappy first half I've seen in many a year, both teams were dreadful. This was highlighted by the fact that both keepers, with the exception of collecting a few crosses, were very much spectators.
We started the 2nd half brightly, but I always felt that while we would create so little, they could nick a goal, and so it proved. I think we were a tad fortunate to score...their keeper made 3 or 4 basic saves, but we never really tested Forde. Smithies on the other hand kept us in the game on a couple of occasions, not least that instinctive save to tip the ball on to the bar.
On the balance of play, whilst they never looked like a play-off chasing team, they created the better chances, kept the ball better, and for me were well worth the 3 points, as dubious as their winner may have been. We can't blame the officials for losing, our wasteful finishing was once more the key to our downfall.

millwall were the best side - end of.
Should have won the game by more than 1 goal. 3-1 would probably have been a fair reflection. Agree they were no world beaters but they flattened our weak midfield and our strikers gave them very little to worry about. Bottom line is they looked like a very well drilled and coached side - we looked all over the place. In time Clark may be able to get us playing as a solid unit - when his team building is complete.

Millwall probably just shaded it but my god if they are a top 6 team ( which they are ), they were very very ordinary.....if we cant match that with the management and backing we have from the Brilliant Dean Hoyle then we may aswel pack it in..... next season has to be at least play offs.... but how often do we always say that ??

Yeah but if you compare Millwall's away performance to our recent efforts away from home - there is a massive difference.
At least they battled, looked solid - were probably the better team and got their bit of luck at the end.
Imagine if we had gone away at and played like that?

You weren't surprised it was 0-0 despite being camped in our own half, hitting our own post and Milwall wasting several excellent goalscoring opportunities. Plus our forward line up might have troubled an under 11 defence just Lets get real....we were battered in the first half We were awful, they were very good first half, well drilled/organised. Thats the reason they are where they are and thats the organisation we need to aspire to to get out of this league. I would argue player for player we should have more talent going forward but the game is about discipline and organisation too.
