Dont think he will have been overly impressed with Smithies yesterday, made quite a few mistakes but made up for it with that wonder save

I don't think he looked poor at all. He plucked 1 really difficult cross out of the air and also the good tip onto the bar from point blank range.
The first goal took a deflection, the second goal I missed but have seen it on The Championship on itv1 and the second was virtually unstoppable.
He looked confident and calm.

The only thing he did wrong was that rush of blood where he came racing out of his goal, and thankfully the Millwall players put it wide. Aside from that he claimed the ball well, made one great save, and could do nothing with the goals. In reality he didn't have that much to do.

The goal kick where he passed it straight to their lad?!? OK I'll give you that one. His kicking does still need a bit of work, but that'll improve with age and practise.

I got the impression he was keeping a watchful eye on Smithies for future England duties. Such as Under 19s and maybe being part of the Under 21 set up for experience

Aside from that he claimed the ball well, made one great save, and could do nothing with the goals. In reality he didn't have that much to do. You could look at that a different way. If he had of stayed in his goal, there guy could have had an easy route to goal for a 1 on 1. But by coming out he made him take the shot early while under pressure from a fair distance from goal. Granted though it could have gone tits up and been made to look a pillock!
