On the subject of career threatening tackles, court cases, Kevin Gray etc etc.
He said that although it is impossible to prove intent when a player leaves the ground when tackling he is being reckless and therefore liable to be sued if an injury is the result!! Hope Platini isn't listening or it will be non contact before you know it.
He didn't mentioned what his intent was when he elbowed Paul Reid in the face just before Gray clattered him.
Not keen on Jason Cundy but he asked him some tough questions.

Jason Cundy is a fat cockney twat, cant stand him As opposed to watson who in place of fat and cockney you could insert the words hypocritical and cheating! So its ok to lead with your elbow then gordy, just so long as your feet dont leave the ground eh??!!! Absolute arse! It was a very poor challenge by kevin gray but there have been much worse ones gone relatively unpunished by comparison! It makes my blood boil when cheating scumbags like him get £1m+ and others (incl david burke many yrs ago) get next to nothing!

Exactly. Watson deserved all he got after the coward's elbow on Reid. There has really been a bigger case of poetic Justice. I remember the phone in on the Pulse after, chickens foaming at the mouth call after call!

I remember the phone in on the Pulse after, chickens foaming at the mouth call after call! No player deserves to get his leg broken...but in this one case that fat c*nt deserved what he got. Appalling, blatant malicious elbow on Paul Reid, Kev Gray stuck up for a team mate and put a bad tackle in. At least the ball was there (sort of) to be won, dont remember the ball being attached to Paul Reids face

This is the problem with the media.
Very good at telling a one-sided story. Had they told Watson they were going to get Paul Reid & Kevin Gray in to debate this sensibly, I doubt he'd have accepted the invite.
Accepting an invite to share your opinion without being challenged by the other party involved (assuming they were referencing his own incident..), hardly makes for a balanced piece of journalism.... Despite how challenging the journalists questions were. His facts will probably be based on historical media reports and the outcome of the court case. Just had a very quick look on youtube and can't see a video of the incident. Is it possible that this was removed?
Always laughed at that, as he was claiming a massive loss of earnings as though he was the next Ian Rush.
They should give him a 1 way space shuttle ticket with Graham (mouth) Poll....

Just glad Gordon got the millions he deserved ;)TBs bitter as ever I wouldn't go that far - the insurance paid up,not the club. I would have thought that it was your lot that would be upset, paying his legal fees and then when he was paid up,b*ggering off somewhere else

Wasn't this the same bloke that got that really amazing penalty for Sheff Wed? It was against Leeds if my mind serves me correctly.
An absolute corker of a dive...
Probably my memory...

I agree with you guys. It was retribution for a blatant elbow in Reid's face a little earlier that went unpunished by the Ref. It was a horrible challenge mind you. Both should have been sent off but as you say no mention of Watson's misdemeanors.
