as the season has gone on the team and players seem to be getting worse.... ternent brought in some good players but couldn't/ wouldn't play them in their prefered postion (he bought too many midfielders) and we never had a consistant line up or formation. gerry came in changed the formation and personnel around and we started to look a solid team who were hard to beat but not very attacking minded.. clark has come in, made a few changes to the formation and team selection and we carried on doing well, a few weeks later and a million pounds or so spent and the team looks disjointed again and playing poorly. How can he go out and get that idiot on loan from everton, the boy makes boothy look fit, fast and agile!!!! send the french lad back, he lied about his registration in turkey and that has cost us buying/loaning in another striker. this season wouldn't be over if we had had the nounce to bring in an experienced striker... whats wrong with flynn at the moment? ? i don't see the point of persisting with collins in midfield. granted he scores the odd goal here and there but what does he do for the other 89 minutes??? come on clark, macca, faza and blackie sort this shower of shite out!!! its becoming mind numbing watching them!!!!

You say sort it out, but how?
The transfer windown is closed now. Let him sort it out in Summer.

looks to me like the players are starting to write this season off. I reckon the everton lad was never on the radar until all the other options were exhausted (bit like the player), then Clark just phoned round to see who was available. Clark probably just took a gamble on a player none of them had seen. I cannot believe that he would have signed him if he had already seen him play.

People do realise that Roy of the Rovers and other similar publications are fictional don't they?!

You say sort it out, but how? The transfer windown is closed now. Let him sort it out in Summer. we can sort it out this season, get in another striker on loan and re-jig the midfield around. I'm not calling the management and am right behind them but it does appear to me the longer they've been in charge the worse we've become. I understand its a changing team but would have thought the work ethic and football we were playing under them would have carried on. Also if the players think that this season is over then we should be playing with no fear as they're should be no pressure on them anymore. It will come to the end of march and we'll go on an unbeaten run, miss out on the play offs by a couple of points, buy some new players in the summer and start off shit again!!!! Typical town isn't it

Stan buggered the club up. Give Lee Clark time to have a clear out of some dead wood in the summer and bring his own players in. BRING ON NEXT SEASON!!!

Agree with bringing Flynn back - the one game he played in his natural position he was fantastic, Collins is a luxury we cannot afford and I put some of the blame for the second goal on Saturday down to him. Instead of stopping flapping his arms for a free kick he should have tracked the lad who broke away.
Murphy managed to get the side to grind out results, wasn't pretty but effective with this set of players - yet we seem to be unable to do the same with the new management team with additional signings.

I disagree we played some nice stuff under Murphy, case in point Skarz's goal against L**ds, how many passes? There were also times when we over played, i.e. Port Vale in the cup so I can't see how you can say it wasn't pretty? LC also plays it on the ground. Ternent though was more direct For whatever reason GM seems to get consistency out of the players that Jackson couldn't in the end, nor Richie could, nor Ternent could nor so far Clark can. I still think Clark will take us forward but rather than talking a good game he needs to start acting on what he says. There's no point saying he wants committed players who don't want to hang around League One, then in January send our most committed player out on loan to Yeovil while at the same time bringing in the most gutless player I can remember and then trying to sign a journeyman who it would seem walked out on his previous club - kind of bloke we want Manager's make hard decisions, e.g. Murphy stripped Worthy of the captaincy, in his last spell as caretaker he then dropped Worthington for Goodwin after a win and Glennon for Smithies (and came in for plenty of criticism as I remember!) Time for LC to make some hard calls to back up the words with actions, and select players on merit and attitude. Dropping Lucas should be a given IMO

The thing is Hudds, you say Murphy got consistency, but is it just that he wasn't in charge long enough for the team to be inconsistent. Murphy only had 6 games in his last 2 spells (5 in the first). Clark's first 6 games were w3, d2, l1, so almost as good as Murphy's last spell w4 l2, despite him not knowing the players. Ritchie started even better, w4 d1 l1 in his first 6 games. I imagine we'd have been just as inconsistent under Murphy had any of his caretaker spells continued.
You generally get an initial reaction under a new manager
