He scored 4 goals tonight for wakefield over an 8-1 win against salford.

I think people forget what level Wakefield are at - not a dig at Denton but I think we expected too much too soon from him. We expected him to be pushing for the first team by now where in reality he probably needs another season of professional training and loan spells at Blue Square North/South/Premier Level.
One things for certain he seems to be able to find the net. 3 in 8 for Woking is respectable, his total for Wakey is impressive, wonder how many he's got for the reserves this season?

One thing people do forget is that when Stan bought him he said it would be a good few years befor he would be ready for the first team. He was bought for the future, not for this season and prbably not for next either.. An investment you could wish to call it.

He's also scoring shed loads of goals, but in a division THREE below us, and yet lots of Town fans seem to think that he will immediately be able to transfer this to League One level. I hope he will, but it's far from a certainty.

well done to denton last night, i hope he goes on scoring like that for wakey and comes back for pre-season full of confidence then get him out on loan to a club who will look after him and where he will get first team footy at a higher level then wakey.

guys Denton has no future at Town, from LC doesnt like him or rate him he is back at Wakey to stay as far as i know, its just been put in press as a loan deal, they are tryng to sell him somewhere, wakey cudnt take him back permanantley, cant afford his wages now... source is from wakey end
