So plenty of moneys been thrown at it this season and we find ourselves where we always seem to be. The centenary season has been a massive let down. Who knows what the future holds and the jury is still out for me with LC and co. Our away form is embarrassing. As leeds and sadford look set fair for an exciting end of season, we are left waiting for the next one yet again. You cant put it all down to stan. Clark is far from bullet proof. Feeling let down by everyone except dean hoyle. Rant over I have to disagree with you here, it can all be put down to Stan. Look at it this way, the first 14 games were truly diabolical - we only got 14 points from them. If we have started even half decently we'd have picked up another 7 or 8 points and now be within a point or two of the playoffs. Furthermore, Stand failed to address the lack of a goalscorer in the summer and instead opted to sign umpteen central midfielders. He even had the option to take Dickinson for the season and decided against it. For goodness sake, give Clark a break. Its his first job and he's bound to make mistakes. I accept he has vast experience behind him but as a young manager he still has to be his own man at least to a degree - he can't simply follow the experience of Fazackerley and McDermott. I think by Christmas we will have a good indication as to how Lee Clark will fair as a manager.

I hate it when the season fades out to a mid table mediocre finish, with nothing to play for. I can see the final few games having that boring end of season feel to them.

The biggest mistake I think Clark has made is trying to make us play pretty football - we should play winning football, get that winning mentality. Mix it up, play ugly whatever it takes - . thats how we got up under Warnock in '95. I just think a lot of ballax is talked over "sexy football" if stan would have been winning games, no-one would have given a toss IMO. Now the results are a bit hit and miss, Clark is getting the benefit of the doubt because we are trying to play "the right way" A bit hypocritical but it seems you can't question LC and his crew, even on a HTFC message board!

You are entitled to question Clark etc as much as you want Kosi but just be realistic with it which, until yesterday, i would have certainly said you were. Never known you be knee-jerk before mate.
Q. Do you think that if we'd had a Lambert/Cox/Graham etc that we wouldnt now be sat in a play off place?
IMO we'd be in top 6 if we still had Dickinson.

why's everyone givin it big'un about lee clark? just because he played at the top level it doesn't mean he can transfer that. he needs support, financial backing and TIME to do well. he isn't going to produce instant success, neither will the thousands thrown at him by Mr Hoyle. this season now gives him the chance to see who he wants, what rubbish to throw out (lucketti, unsworth and co) and have a crack at going up next year as champions. so let's get behind the team and try carry a positive vibe into next season instead of moaning about the mess created and left by Ternent!

Never known you be knee-jerk before mate. not my style for sure and if its come across like that then it wasnt meant to, maybe its because i posted straight after last nights game but im just not as convinced as a lot of people are thats all that clark is the god of htfc. Dont want him out or anything daft like that and didnt expect us to be in playoffs from the position we were in when he took over but id love to believe that the signing of 2 strikers will be the final piece in the jigsaw. Who knows!!?
