Went to the game last night, and it has to be said that Lucketti was immense - Man of the match for me.
Other observations: 1) Boothy is still ace. Won so many first phase headers, but unfortunately there wasn't often anyone there to help him out. His distribution and vision were excellent and he held the ball up really well. You can still tell that he is a class apart from some of the other players in this team and in this division, just a shame that the old body isn't quite functioning as it used to - case in point when he ran like warrior to chase the ball in attack at the beginnning of the second half and tripped up just before getting there. Poor old Boothy! What a legend though.
2) We are still not organised well enough, and not all of the players seem to know what they're expected to do, and where their team mates ought to be. MK on the other hand were always offering support for the man in possession, and were always trying to double up on the wings in the first half.
But, once we get our roles sorted and get our excellent pegs in their proper holes we're gonna be one hell of a side. There were glimpses of it in the second half last night, and it's exciting to see Lee Clarke's work in progress!
But yes, again - Great second half performance last night - not been able to say that for a while!
UTT!!

He played good against Millwall as well, almost scored a decent header but it ended up straight at the keeper.
I was one of the ones who knocked Lucketti but fair play to the lad he's done well the last couple of games... keep it up man.

I've got absolutely nothing against Clarkie, in fact I think he's blossomed since Lee took over but I'd like nothing better than seeing Chris Lucketti in our starting lineup. I know he's slowed up a lot but his reading of the game and overall experience has to be an asset to the team. With young Alex and the ever consistant Butler next to him I think we'd have a more solid look about our defending. However, as with Boothy, it would be brilliant if we could turn the clock back 10 years. ;D

So we're not going to offload him in the summer now then.

Not saying he shouldn't keep his place, because he has been playing well, but do you think he is going to play centre back next year? He's getting on now, so maybe Clarke should be playing as he is more than likely going to partner Butler next season, and the more games played together will only make their partnership blossom. Its a tough one but i for one can not see lucketti playing much part next season.

Went to the game last night, and it has to be said that Lucketti was immense - Man of the match for me. That's what the manager's been saying for the last few games. I agree, but some of the locals don't. Get your tin hat.

Could it be that like he's actually being pushed now because he's not guaranteed his place in the team?

i wonder what will happen when clarke is back??? straight back in or has he to work for his shirt I'd like to see a 3-4-3 formation with midfield wing backs given a go, double up on the wings and make the most of our assets: 3-4-3: Smithies Clarke, Butler, Lucketti Holdsworth (WB), Goodwin or Berrett, Collins or Flynn, Williams or Werling (WB) Pilkington, Booth or Jutkiewicz or Jevons, Roberts
Thoughts?

What I want to know is when, if ever, will Clark give Worthington a chance Worthy was one of the few players to show any form in the Ternent era, when Lucketti, Goodwin and a few others looked blunty rank relegation fodder. I honestly think in this side Worthington will (yet again) prove the doubters wrong, Goodwin needs someone in the squad to push him and provide competition and Worthy is more than up to the job IMO

When we find ourselves in times of trouble and our defence is out to sea There will be an answer.... Lucketti.
