I know this might get moved but it is connected, no surprise last night to see sadford get a 4-1 thrashing with brandon playing one of his first games, he then got taken off.... ? was he doing all his flicks and falling over. Also Mcall says he will quit if they dont get in playoffs..... I actually rate Stuart Mcall , so not looking like one of our derby matches will be happening then at the moment. ;D

Wasn't Brandos very well liked by Town fans? I thought he was, hence the 'Chrissy Brandon is a Blue song'... However! I've just had a quick shufty round a couple of Bradford City message boards and one thing that stands out is FOOTBALL FANS ARE ALL THE SAME really! Half of the City fans are calling for everyone to rally round Stuart McCall and support the team and the other half seem delighted that he's said he'll go if they don't make the play-offs. All sound a bit familiar? The thing is with Bradford is they've been up in the top six most of the season and now they've started to falter their fans are turning. Like a mate of mine always says 'It's not 'failure' that gets to you, it's having opimism in the first place' Never truer for City and it seems so for us too!

I don't think its being particularly optimistic for a bradford fan to expect to finish in the top 7 in that division though is it. They have a big experienced , presumably expensive, squad for that level and they might play around with the figures and let them in cheap, but they are by far the biggest club in the division going by the gates. If another year goes by where they can't even manage a play-off spot, then its only right McCall offers his resignation.
I miss the derbys, not least cos we nearly always gub them, but on the other hand it's really funny to see them wallow in the bottom division. It is afterall, their spiritual home. ;D

Yeah, typical Brandon. We lost every game he played in didn't we?
I'm all for Bradford bashing posts but I don't think it can all be pinned on Brandon.

I am torn about whether i want them to come up or not. Part of me wants them to wallow like Slapps said but part of me wants the derby and the easy 6 points. I think the ideal scenario is the come up, we gub them twice, they go straight back down while we go up. Then we can never play them again ;D

Brandon was quality. Everyone was raving about him in his first season. He wasn't as for the last couple of years, but still was an important player!
I think people are just bitter he went to Bradford, I reckon we should have kept him.

I sponsored Chris last season and he was a real down to earth guy, I was suprised we didnt keep him on for at least another season because he looked decent playing behind Boothy when Gerry Murphy put him upfront in the - Big Man - Little Man role, maybe his injury has knocked his career a bit :/ i dont know but i liked him

He was a bit of a sicknote when he played for us and was often not available, especially in the last two years of his contract; that's why I wasn't bothered in the least when he left. A good player when fit though.

As his biggest fan on these boards I was gutted to see him go - felt he was worth at least 12 more months. I was always realistic that he was not everyones cup of tea player-wise, with the Ronaldo-flicks-that-did-not-work. Sorry to see he has had injury bother while at the Chickens
