It was at number 1 on monday but has dropped since unfortunately!
im pretty sure its based on number of plays, i also think the top 3 of the chart will have been printed in the paper today so may have squeezed into that but i forgot to check!

Not as yet, due to feedback we received we have decided to do what we can where we can to react to the constructive criticism, which is going to involve re-recording the lead vocal and the harmonies again, unfortunately i have to do it this Saturday and miss the game but hey ho!
Once we have this down the next step will be downloads!

Just out of interest what are you doing to it when you redo it?

"Just out of interest what are you doing to it when you redo it? "
well the only thing we can feesably work on is the vocals so we will be re-recording the lead vocal and all the harmony tracks completely as there were comments about parts being out of tune and words not being pronounced properly!

will it still have the fast pace? and can you make it so we can actually hear the words? like turn the music down and vocal up? just sounded like what id hear at squash club, it;d be better as a ballad

it will still be the pace it is now. once we have re-recorded them i will set the levels as best as i can as far as the vocals go, they are perfectly audible on the computer its just hard to compensate for the stadiums system which made it almost impossible to hear the words

just clicked on metro site and listened to it on there. i like the instrumental, but sadly its right about the vocals. theres parts which sound spot on but others sound out, is it because more than one persons singing? because if it is the others should be left out this time. can you not just use reverb or something to give it depth on the choruses?

The lead vocal is just 1 person but where you hear the harmonies there are 3 of them so a total of 4 voices coming through. Normally our singer John does the lead vocal and all 3 harmonies but this time round we are going to give it a go with me and 1 of the other lads doing a harmony track each and see how that sounds. We wont let this one get played until it is 100% perfect!
We have also managed to expand the number of effects we can use on an audio track as well, we used to be limited to 2 which would be compression and reverb for the most part but now we can have up to 6 so we will be playing with this and getting it sound as good as we can with the equipment we have!

Doing whatever we can Marcus!
That said, any more constructive criticism is still welcome before we crack on with it again this weekend!

I`m afraid i`m gonna have to disagree,i think its awful, just my opinion, sorry. Maybe it's my age, but I dont like it either. Would love to hear a version of this done by a male voice choir with a brass band. That's what the song really needs. My opinion. Fair play to the lads for doing it though, no doubt there are loads out there who love it. Edited to say. Rage of Ed's version is more my cup of tea.
