Dont Southend have Nike kit? Im pretty sure theres a few in our league and below.
I just hope we dont go for a Puma/Kappa slim fit! Not a good look on your average football fan ;D

I think Southend, Rochdale, Hartlepool & Accrington all have Nike kits.
It's about time we had a decent manufacturer make our kit.

Don't know how to add pictures but my United supporting chum says that's not going to be Utd's new away shirt! He's sent me a pic of their new away shirt - it's white with a red "V" but no lace-up collar apparently.

Do you mean this one? This is photoshopped based on the Mexico kit. Can't see that pic mate but yes, the shirt I've seen is indeed similar to the Mexico jersey! Edit: Yes! That's the pic I've been sent. So, it's a fake is it? I'll smugly pass the message on.

I think it's more likely to be a fake than the one's i've posted because those are actual photos rather than mock-ups. But still, I wouldn't expect the ones i've posted as Utd shirts to be exactly how they'll turn out.

Indeed, apparently the star is going to be embroidered this year, after the tacky plastic effort last time. Nike are putting in the effort because the England shirt is one of the world's best sellers, if not THE best. The lack of the star was the part that made me think maybe it is a fake afterall (that and the fact that the shirt is sh*te). I'd like to see a Nike/Adidas/Puma England shirt. Those 3 are the fashionable/credible sports brands. (Only in my opinion of course though). The star is at the top of the right sleeve on that shirt but it still looks absolute crap

Cool, it would be nice to be able to wash it more than 3 times without fearing for its existance! ;D It would be nice to have one fit me properly too, as op ;Dposed to being fine on the shoulders, and then ballooning out like a tent around the waist. Getting a good kit manufacturer is basically a toss up between an increased production cost against potentially higher shirt sales. I'm not entirely sure how so many L2 and Conference teams have Nike though, do Nike have a deal with the FL or something? Wait til you get older,I'm just short of 40 and ballooning at the waist so they now fit

It think it's something like the lower league team's all deal with the 'UK arm' of Nike whilst the mega buck deals that the top clubs have is with the main international part of the company. I believe it's the same for Adidas and Peterboro etc.

Sean Jarvis said something a while ago about the downside of having a big kit maker like Nike making your clubs shirts. I live in Aberdeen and everything that is sold in both club shops here is nike branded. The club makes very little profit on anything in the shop so obviously not the best for generating profit.
How many more people would actually buy the shirt anyway, should it be branded by Nike?
I personally haven't owned a town shirt since the primetime one years ago so can't really comment about the quality of them. I prefer to buy and wear the retro shirts as they never lose their appeal and look a lot better imo.

Going by that Man Utd strip I had a go at doing a very simple Town shirt using a similar collar and lighter stripes. Looks nice to me

The stripes were far too wide on option 2!
Nice kit that Pompey. You should photoshop Yorkshire Air Ambulance logo onto the front.

But I really like the centenary shirt - even the collar sits well with me

I like it, however will look a bit odd without the team they are playing below the badge. Not worth 50!
