More chance of actually getting to the game on time going with the official travel club though

Why harsh? 3 hours it may be by car, but coaches don't go as quick. Hit any traffic and an 11am start is pushing it in my opinion

Good point Rob. The AA makes it 170.5 miles and 3 hours 8 mins from HTFC to HUFC. Add on say an extra 10% with it being a coach, and you're looking at a 2:30 arrival at the earliest, minus any traffic or roadworks that could be ongoing. I'd say that leaving at 10/10:30 would be more advisable.

I think the departure time came from Brown's coaches who also take Leeds Utd Supporters Club to all away matches - have Leeds played there yet as if they have then Brown's should know what they are dealing with timewise.
Will double check with Michael though.

I agree. There's a nasty set of roadworks on the M6. You need to add on around 19 minutes for them. And you just never know what you'll get at spaghetti junction. Is this facebook?

3hrs is improbable to say the least on a coach.

There are, I think, 2 sets of 50mph avg speed trap roadworks down that stretch of the M6. They seem to be doing lane widening all over the country, as I found out last weekend during a 7 hour drive from London to Hudds, taking in Reading and Newbury along the way.
The M6 is also notoriously bad around birmingham.
I think setting off at 11, you're cutting it very very fine.

Huddersfield to Hereford 185 miles (for some reason according to footballgroundguide.com you have to go via the M5 leave at junction 8 and take the M50 towards South Wales and come off at junction 2)
Bearing in mind a coach travels at an average of 45 miles in an hour = 4.1 hours. The coach by law needs to arrive at the ground between 1:30pm and 2:00 pm build into that a 20-30 minute stop = 4.5 hours
The Travel Club setting off at 9:30am just about spot on i think.

A hearty breakfast is essential before an away day on the lagers, nevermind the treacherous cider!

You sure 19 minutes for those roadworks on the M6 will be sufficient? I'd have though 19 minutes 38 seconds and 19 milliseconds would have been better................. So not only are we all football managers and pundits, we're all transoprt managers and coach drivers as well!!! is there no end to the talents of cyber town fans ?
