Surely having both games on the same day is bad planning, as it affects both the clubs and the supporters. I would have liked to have attended both games as they are grounds I have never been to and there are plenty pubs near by (well Newcastle). Also having them on the same day means both Gateshead and Wakefield will miss out financially as our support will be split between which match to attend. Is there not someone we can contact to get the Wakefield game moved to the Sunday as this is probably easier to rearrange as I imagine the running track at Gateshead will be used on Sundays for running clubs?

I'd of prefered to go to both games too, hopefully passed my driving test by then so would have gone by car to both. I'll choose Gateshead out of the two if they don't get moved.

I think there are on same day cos Clark will want to be playing better teams around that time so being on same day will free up some time to play more competative teams.

I'm glad they are on the same day as it will limit the amount of money I waste going to pre season friendlies.

They could stagger the kick offs so that we can watch them both.
Gateshead at 2.00 and Wakefield at 7.30 would work well.

First team to Gateshead, kids to Wakefield.
Makes sense.

What a stupid decision by the club. Once again putting the fans last. Jarvis OUT

I take it the anti-franchise brigade will choose to go to Gateshead?

We seem to have made the commitments to the friendlies due to transfers and now it has come to scheduling we have found out that we have over commited ourselves. Staggering them would make for a great day and some staggering of my own! If it stays the same I think we are doing Gateshead.

To be honest, I think it's a sh*tty thing for the club to do. Both to the respective opposition, and us : the fans. Obviously, both these fixtures were determined by the respective transfers of Denton and Novak, which included the commitment to both clubs, and also to us - the fans - of a pre-season friendly. Fixtures like these are the lifeblood of non-league football, which in turn is the lifeblood of lower-league football. In splitting the support - which two Tow games in the same day will surely do - is a kick in the nuts to both clubs, and also to the Town fans who looked forward to watching both games.
