probably still one of the best headers of a ball around...... if Carlsberg did headers.... lol Not half bad at making a ball stick and spreading the play either.

The decision might be made for him.................i hope, see ya. Thats the most apt reply in this thread. Year after year we see his contract renewed for another season & where does it get us? Injured & mid table obscurity. It really is time to move on - in fact we should have moved on 2 season ago at least. I can't believe how anyone would want money spent on another Booth contract when the team is short of 2, possibly 3 decent strikers.

No, lets keep Boothy, it's hardly his fault we underachieve!

No, lets keep Boothy, it's hardly his fault we underachieve! Maybe not, but the question is could the money be better spent? Also there is a lot to be said for knowing when to retire gracefully. Boothy has been a great servant to this club, and is a decent bloke, but unfortunately he is passed it.

There's a difference between keeping him for the right reasons and keeping him as turnip did.
- i.e Turnip was correct to keep him, but nothing short of foolish to build the whole team upon him. Parker was the wrong signing, we needed a big man with turn of pace, with boothy as back up
Two new strikers in the summer, one will be a big lad without doubt. But, when he gets injured, I wouldn't mind having boothy to step in for a few games or on the bench! 2 new strikers, but then probably jevons/parker (hard to lose both), novak and then roberts/pilington can fill in. Broadbent out on loan. Who knows re Cadders
