Super Mirfin, Super Schoffer, 3,600 of us behind the goal climbing the fences and singing our hearts out, completely delirious after two late goals.
"Ovendale, wife's a slag, Ovendale, wife's a slag!"
"They're going down, they're going bust, they're going down, they're going bust, they're going down, they're going bust, they're going down, they're going bust, The Leeds are going down and they're going f*cking bust, they're going f*cking bust!"
Unsure if i've ever been so drunk at a match in all my life- What a day!
NEXT YEAR THESE DAYS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE UPON US! COME ON TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWN!!

Why ? Are York being fast tracked into League 1-----or have you inside info that we will draw them in the cup ? Mirfins finest hour for Town though I agree

Were you in the same league as York in 03/04? I thought they were in the conference by then, or was that the season they were relegated? Anyway, we take more than that there for friendlies!

Quality day that was. As jacko says on the season review, that was the game that convinced the town players they could get promotion and it was the game that ultimately sent York to the conference (they hardly won a game after, having been in 8th before the game)

When they beat us 1.0 at our place they went top of the league! I think Lee Bullock(now Bradford) scored. It was a belter.

I remember going into that pub that is in a sort of crypt that was full of Town fans. We went round a corner into a seperate bit and when we came to get another pint the bar area was empty apart from old bill who had been called to stop fans helping themselves! The wall weere so thick we heard nowt

Remember it (not so) well. Much beer was had. Every pub we tried to get into we got turned away despite not wearing any colours! In a similar vain (i.e. me wanting to remember the misty eyed "good old days") does anyone have a link to any youtube footage of the Sadford game when the "Gordon Watson incident" occurred?

Walking back into York city centre was unreal! It felt like we had taken over... traffic couldn't get past us.
What a day.

Yeah that was a brilliant day out. Atmosphere after game with all the fans singing n the sound bouncing off the walls all the way back into the city centre was unreal. Man I hope your right Werlinger. il beleive it when i see us sat at the top of the league 12 points clear though.
