I've got to say that I thought it was a disgrace that some people started booing Williams when he next got the ball after missing the pen.

It's so frustrating, hate home games. Roll on Hereford.

Too many people too quick to boo and justify it by saying if they didn't perform at work then they'd expect to get a mouthful too. These people think man management is about being shouted at expect that they'd get the same when they do something wrong at work !? I'd hope that if I do something wrong at work that my manager would calmly tell me what I've done wrong and then give me the chance to put it right. That's what I'd respond to.
If my manager start shouting and bawling at me I would think 'What a w*nker!' and not respect him.
As for the person booing in the South Stand at the end of the game today, the one with the England shirt on, I stand by what I said to you!

Absolutely stupid reaction.
I was well p8ssed off but it's not as if we have a great record of scoring from penalties anyway & certainly wouldn't boo him.

As soon as they started 'discussing' who was going to take it I got a bad feeling.
I don't really agree with booing your own players at all, however I can understand it when it is the result of a prolonged period of play/games, you can't start booing players for individual mistakes though-especially when they've prob been one of the better players of late.

You can't argue that Williams is twice the player (and only half as wide as) he was last season, I wouldn't boo him, however, I do question why he wanted to take the penalty so much?

Stupid reaction. Did they think he missed on purpose?
He was the only one of the back four today to come out of the game with any credit for me.
Strange penalty from him though wasn't it? When you saw Williams step up I'm sure most people would have expected him to smash it in rather than place it.

When I miss a penalty, I feel gutted and look for support. The last thing I want is to get the ball and be boo'd. No doubt Williams feels the same. He didn't deserve that. Okay, he took a poor penalty but the last thing we need to do is boo him because he missed. Didn't help at all.

Surprised people didn't boo Cads for missing that chance at the end because that was far easier to score than the penalty!

Left footed defenders taking peno's. Stuart Pearce anyone? Is that a compliment ie. Euro 96 or are you having a go ie. world cup 1990?? Anyone who booed him is a disgrace, his performances in the second half of the season should put him in with a chance of POTS in my opinion

I felt sorry for him. He didn't try to have his pen saved, and from my view it wasn't too bad.

Players who miss penaltys don't deserve abuse unless they have been cocky and been caught out for it i.e Lawrence ;D then IMO they deserve all the abuse they get! Williams penalty was more a good save than a badly took penalty too.

Left back penalty curse, unsworth, williams, pearce. But it was just frustrating that robbo had just gone off, what about pilks or flynn, they don't have a bad shot on them.

Of course he didn't mean to miss, but I don't think he should have taken it. A penalty is a chance to score rather than a set piece. How often are left-backs in 1 on 1's with a goalkeeper? Hardly ever.
I would have given it to Pilks or Collins.
As for today - Williams was in our top 3, but if we play to our ability he would be in the bottom three, fair play to him for trying to turn up today though when so many stayed at home.

I chuffing hate that line "he never looked confident"
It is a load of tosh. I must have seen 100's of penalties dispatched by players who don't "look confident"
Do you want him to stand there bouncing around with a big grin on his face?
