After reading midweek that he's waiting till the end of the season before deciding on his future can I please ask Lee Clark to make the right decision and not even think about offering him another contract. Today Boothy was 5 yards off the pace, cant hold the ball up anywhere near how he used to be able to and his feet dont know how to aim a football at the goal. There's no doubting what he's done for this club but all good things must come to an end and Boothy's end is surely here. Hope he scores against Brighton but that has to be his last home game for Huddersfield Town.

... and yet he was tons better than some of our players today, and he laid on the second goal

Today, in my opinion, Andy Booth was one of Town's better players and despite his lack of speed was one of the few who really put himself about and tried to open out play. The service he received from crosses was extremely poor and sometimes I wonder whether some people ever watch the game closely.

Hw wasnt tons better though, ffs why must people defend him continously. As someone next to me said today, he should go join Beckett.

id like to think that if were thinking about the championship we wont offer him a new contract, the guys done wonders and loves the club but theres no point flogging a dead horse, maybe a part time coaching role at the club would suit both parties?

He put in 90 mins of effort, he worries defenders, he is clever when he gets the ball..... he's been 100% town throughout his career... he deserves respect.... we know he's at the end of his playing days, but until he hangs up his boots and we get someone better I will back him all the way..

Still does a job I think. If we are going on what the guy next to us says then sack Clark too. If we can get someone better then fair enough but to say he can't hold the ball up? Feck me, I can't think of anyone we could realistically sign that could do it better.

Because yorkie our fans like to back our own!! As such boothy, collins, worthy, clarkes, holdsworth continually get praised because they apparently "have the club in their blood" and hail from the academy. Problem is that they aint bloody good enough!! Boothy has been a legend for this club and should be remembered as such - at the end of this season he should be allowed to retire not try another season to rekindle old glories which sadly are now beyond him. Collins/Holdsworth/T Clarke/Worthy - regrettably they aint good enough and if we get decent offers for any - thanks but goodbye!
PS Before i get lambasted, i would also point out that many of the recent signings aint up to much either!!! We have just drawn with a pub team who lost its best players in the week to avoid administration and that was simply pathetic this pm.

Played really well against MK Dons and Tranmere, but had a poor game today, may as well play him for the remainder of the season as we've nobody else better, and then it'll be time to say our goodbyes.
