Been a season ticket holder for over 20 years and I think, when things arent going just to plan Town fans must be some of the worst to play in front of. Today when Lukas was introduced, even before a ball was kicked in anger there were the first rumblings of boo's. Come on this is a young 19yo lad, admitted he isn't having the best of times, but how can you expect to get the best from him when idots have already started booing. OK, now dont start replying saying 'we pay our money so have the right to criticise' - the lad had that time just walked on the pitch. Think about it , how can it be benefitial to the individual and team in general ? it makes everyone very edgy 'will they start on me for the next stray shot , bad backpass etc' ? Lee Clark is the man for the job, so too his backroom staff - patience is required. We just need to get behind the whole team - whoever is playing be it Lukas, Williams or any other 'singled out' team member. Give the lads a break it could work for our benefit!!

Agree 100000000000000000000000000000000000000%. As far as i'm concerned, anyonethat boo's a player of the team they suposedly support is no fan at all.

Was a disgrace today. Booing Lukas when our defenders were making the mistakes, having a go at Williams for missing a penalty. Get behind the team!!!!

To be subbed after 30 minutes is embarrassing although a change was needed and he was sacrificed. The chants that followed - 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' and 'premiership, you're having a laugh' directed at a player currently in our squad, left me feeling ashamed. He's 19 and suffering with some sort of condition that affects his energy levels and it was out of order.

Spot on - some idiots booed williams after the penalty miss too! (Despite him being one of our best players for some time now!) As bad as the other two boo boy victims lukas and tom clarke were, were they much worse than collins and goodwin who escaped with relatively little criticism??!!

This post seems to have opened up others in defence of their booing. Getting them to understand it doesnt help booing the players is like plaiting fog.

never posted before but felt utterly embarassed by our fans today, booing our own players doesnt & never will improve our chances of getting 3 points, it only serves to encourage the opposition!!

i never heard Williams getting boo`d when he missed the pen,i thought it just went quiet, who`d boo some one who as the guts to take a pen?its all been blown out of proportion Lukas was boo`d out of fustration cos he`s lazy or appears to be and the shirt throwing malarky,we are all Town fans just venting some passion,if Lukas gets another start we will still back him and he will will know its his final kick up the arse so maybe we should see how the young lad handles it

May I just say, and I know it's none of my business, that since our players got viciously booed off the pitch at Hereford (and I mean the full "you're not fit to wear the shirt", "we're Leeds, you're not" "you're shit, and we're sick of it" treatment, to which they looked visibly shocked) we haven't lost a game.
Sometimes players need to be reminded just how much it means to the fans and how much responsibility they have.
Booing your team is sometimes not only acceptable but also neccessary, singling out individuals is not.

Again, as with "TOM's" post on the South Stand, very reasonable comments. And to be fair, this is not just a problem at Town, the same is happening all around the country. Yeah, Lukas is a disappointment, but to be subjected to that level of abuse, well all I can say is SHAME SHAME on those so called fans who seems to feel this behavior is productive, constructive, or acceptable.

At least there appears to be one L**ds fan who can think rationally
