He seemed to scuff his shot when he struck it. Was a poor penalty but I thought Williams was, again, one of our best players today - shame about this one low point.

Did anyone else notice the confusion over the taker? clark said afterwards that williams was next in line - so why the mothers meeting? collins and flynn were hugging - cads grabbed the ball also and flynn quite clearly gestured for pilks to come and take it - pilks stayed well out of the way and appeared to shake his head several times - eventually Bob grabbed the ball and the rest is history. Bizarre stuff.

Can't believe people booed him for missing - idiots. Agreed he did his best and there was a lot of pressure on him. I know its not easy taking a penalty

was wrong for people to boo him for missing the penalty-the 1 thing i would say is if you're going to take a penalty, try and put a bit of pace behind it

Has anyone seen the penalty that Moore took for Tranmere yesterday?
He took it just like Williams, the only difference being was that it wasn't saved.

this was probably the worst penalty i have ever seen! He hit it so soft, the keeper had ages before he had to move for it!

Now that was bad! But all credit to the lad for stepping up to take the responsibility when no-one else would.

Williams has been one of the most consistent performers for weeks now. At least he had the guts to step forwards. Ok on this occasion he got it wrong. Give the lad a break

He got it on target, tried to hit it hard and low, just didn't connect well enough or enough in the corner.
That said, he didn't look confident when stepping up.
