We talk a lot about individual players on this site. Maybe we should start to look more at where and how we are to achieve our end goal which is promotion?
How do we strengthen the team? Should we concentrate our efforts at getting a solid back four which keeps clean sheets week in week out? After our back four we look at mid-field and so on. Every manager we have had has issued these immortal words, "We shall make the Galpharm a fortress". This goal has not been achieved so far.
Is our blend of players good, poor or indifferent? If you were in Lee Clark's shoes where would you start?
Out of all the players we have on our books which players could be formed into a winning formula? Should we have a clear out of players who have little to no chance of making it. Should we have a clear out of first team players and start afresh?
Season after season we are going from pillar to post. We have the same problems season after season. Do we learn nothing season after season. With limited funding what can we achieve?
How can the club make more funds available without raiding Dean Hoyles pocket season after season?
If our club is to rise up into another division then grand scale changes need to happen. Season after season we encounter the same failings in the squad. We tinker with the players but do not address the areas which constantly let us down.
