As predicted he has announced he is to hang up his boots at the end of the season. May I be the first to wish him all the best in his new role and thanks for all his efforts. A true Town legend

A true Town legend and a massive part of the club for most of the time I have supported the (29 now). Still remember him breaking into the first team and some great nights at Leeds Rd where he seemed unstoppable from set pieces. I also has the pleasure of working the turnstiles with his mum and dad for several years. If anyone wants an example of a player with possibly limited ability but the passion, professionalism and commitment to make the very very best of what he had than Boothy was it.
It has been an honour to chant the mans name over the last 15 years.
Thank you Boothy, and all the best.

Where is the "Official" announcement? ? Not on Town's official site or BBC. Hope you're not a timewaster.

All the best Boothy.
Some great memories from Mk1, and some great effort (if only others had shown the same) with Mk2.
Let's hope the replacements can show the same dedication to Huddersfield Town's success.

I saw his first game, his first goal and it will be a privilige to see his last game at home on Saturday.
You couldn't have a bad word against him, if only we had a few more like him down the years.
Best wishes for the future...

Modern day Town legend. He had limitations to his game largely caused by the many injuries and had it not been for that, the young Booth of the late 90s would almost certainly have had a few full England caps IMO. An example of how to conduct yourself on and off the pitch and Im chuffed that hes able to bow out on a bit of a high with a late flurry of goals. All the best Ledge

What a true Town legend
I’m 29 so remember him breaking through at Leeds Road. I doubt we’ll see his like again in a long while, if ever
Third highest goal scorer in our clubs history says it all – Huddersfield lad and big Town fan to boot, surely what dreams are made of
Town’s been good to Boothy, but also Boothy has been good back to Town, he didn’t have to take a pay cut post administration and the vast majority would not
Also it’s a end of another era, as to my mind Boothy is the last player still playing professionally to have worn the Blue and White at Leeds Road, so his retirement also marks the end of the Leeds Road era in my eyes.
All the best Andy, the last Leeds Road Terrier, enjoy your well earned retirement mate!
P.S. How many to Orient now!
