Folks
I'll be heading down to watch some proper football today in Lancaster City vs. Wakefield, hoping to see what Tom Denton's made of at this level.
Has anyone seen him play for Wakefield before? His goalscoring record speaks for itself, but I'd like to see how he plays all-round.

I'm in my final year at Uni in Lancaster, so this is my last real chance to see them.
Also, I figured Boothy would be retiring so kinda paid my respects at the Carlisle game.

Lancaster 1-1 Wakefield
Denton scored early on for Wakefield after a shocking error by the Lancs 'keeper. The ball came to him along the ground and he fluffed his kick, leaving Denton with an easy tap in.
Lancaster's equaliser was just as hilarious, with Wakey's number 7 making a real hash of a clearance which looped over the goalkeeper and into the top corner.
Denton looked very lazy and disinterested despite the odd nice touch here and there. He won every header that came his way, even some when defending set-pieces, which is a positive (if he's actually still here next season!). However, he needs a lot of fitness work and a big change in attitude if he's ever to make it at this season. Got replaced around the 80mins mark.

That's pretty much how I'd describe any of his previous reserve team outings as well.
I honestly believe that he'll still be at Wakefield next season after a permanent move there.

I know a friend who watches Wakefield week in and week out, and says he's not much use.

It was indeed a shocking mistake by the wolf-man, who got taken off at HT. Nick was working (sure...) so didn't come to the game.

I know a friend who watches Wakefield week in and week out, and says he's not much use. I also have a friend that watches them week in week out whos also a Town fan and he was very very excited when we first signed him! Since then he's told me we have given Denton halfway line training on how to chest and head a ball down properly and such, I think Town giving him this extra bit of coaching they still obviously have hopes for him although I personally don't see much of a future for him at this club lets see he still may prove a good un.
