I said the other day, you don't get many days like today - once in a generation perhaps
The strange buzzing silence around the ground, the Boothy masks
The shots Duncan put together
Reading the programme comments
Boothy as captain, his kids as mascot
The hand shakes with the other players before the game, superb reception he got.
Going up for the toss as captain and the match ball sponsors putting their Boothy masks on for the photos!
Then the game! He had to score, and not only score, but a trademark header (of course it was in!!), he just had to and if not for kuipers he could have had a hat trick.
The celebration
A few last shouts of come on boothy, use your pace as he chased down the ball down the lhs by the antich
All the boothy songs, throughout the game
The nice touch by Clark to take him off, the standing ovation from everyone in the crowd
The guard of honour was a very nice touch. The lap of honour, the bighton fans who stayed.
His legend board revealed on the DG stand
His farewell speech
I wonder how many thought...give it 15 years and that Harrison Booth might be knocking them in!
Shame we didn't win, but today wasn't about the result, it was about Boothy - a true legend.
I was absolutely delighted to see him score.
Boothy deserved a hell of a lot of respect from fans, players, management - the club - for his qulaity, his effort, determination, passion - and his character.
It was an emotional day - he was shown a lot of thanks, appreciation, a lot of respect - he throughly deserved them.
It was a day I'll not forget. It won't be the same without Boothy on the pitch - but the last few weeks have been nothing less than a superb way to finish a superb career.

Couldn't believe it when he scored, it really made my day! Textbook Boothy.
Great to see the majority stay behind afterwards too.
It's going to be very strange not having Boothy to rely on anymore.

The standing ovation was touching. Such an emotional day and I just could not believe it when he scored. Absolutely wonderful. They don't write these sort of scripts in dreams.

I really am a bit of a wus sometimes ;D Me too. Very rare for something to choke me up but I was genuinely welling up when he came out and then when he got subbed. Boothy was a boyhood hero to me and despite knowing its time for him to go it will stil be hard not seeing him in a Town shirt after this season. Softy!
