Judging by the lack of figures by the club i'm guessing that sales haven't been very good? Normally after this time there is usually some indication as to how many we've sold.
I know the deadline isn't up (We only renewed today) but i'm quite worried and feel sorry for Dean Hoyle.
Thoughts?

Hmmm I'm not sure, I think we'll sell quite well, but the key for Hoyle will be us having a strong start at home next seasons.
Maximise the amount of walk-up sales early on and we'll make a lot more money.

i dont think we need to be kept updated as we sell them by the hundred, they only kept us so updated last year because of the special offer. i've not renewed mine yet because i'm moving seats, and i imagine a few are doing that, plus the fact theres no real rush.

If we have a good season next year then Dean Hoyle will be better off if we don't sell many season tickets. Town fans turn up when the teams doing well, and the more of them who are playing on the day the better for Deano.
Whatever the sales I doubt anyone is concerened.

I think we will hit the 8k mark this season and I reckon this is all Hoyle will expect too even though he deserves much better, but come Feb we will be getting 14k regular when we are top here's hoping...

Even if we only sell 6k our attendances will not drop below 10k a week, that means that we are making more money because it costs more to pay on the gate every week than to get a season ticket.
If we have a good season then the gates will go up and a higher proportion will be paying on the day.

Someone reported that they said ~3k had been sold so far as of the meeting during the week?
Lot of people prob were waiting to get paid (yesterday or next Friday would be first pay day since the details came out for most people?) so should be brisk from Monday, and then I get the feeling more people are waiting till May to move seats this season than have done previously (I'm moving having been in the same seat since we moved from Leeds Road).
I'd predict somewhere between 6500 and 7500 being sold by end of May.
Personally speaking, I *HATE* buying next seasons season ticket before the current season has even ended. I feel for supporters of clubs like Bradford where they were banging the 2009-2010 season sales message in December 2008.

Speaking of them, they're still crying for McCall to stay after succeeding in another failure of a season. Doesn't look like we'll see those chicken botherers anytime soon

i wouldn't worry about it, most are either waiting for payday or to swap seats, and they've only been on sale for a couple of weeks so far anyway

One point I'd make is they don't make it easy by closing ticket office at 12 on match day. I intended to renew mine before yesterday's game but realised the office would be closed. I'll have to post it because I absolutely refuse to ring premium rate phone lines to contact anybody.

Got mine last week (+ my mates)- but a sad day for me,my daughter isn't re-newing,first time in 15 years she won't be coming with me , she won't be able to get to a lot of games. But she says she'll be coming to some games and paying on the day so it isn't all bad ;D

I've renewed and so has my mate.
This season has been the first season we've had season tickets since the mid 90's so Hoyle's 'gamble' has certainly worked with us.

i would imagine many fans will wait and see who we sign in the summer. i have no choice but to pay on the day as i am skint but if i had the money i would wait and see after the disapointing signings made so far, (pilks the exception).

Don't we usually sell about 8,000 anyway?
I know some people who have renewed simply because of the £99 deal otherwise they wouldn't have bothered.
I think we will comfortably sell 10,000 +

i would imagine many fans will wait and see who we sign in the summer. given that prices increase from june 2nd and most teams are very unlikely to have announced many/any deals by then, that won't be the case, especially given how the economy is people will be buying them at the early bird prices

One of the things I think the club have done well to ease the cost is by spreaking payment over 6 months. I know it means that you pay a slightly enhanced amount but for those cash strapped it gives people an easier option.
Off the top of my head £49(ish) per month for an Antich seat over a 6 month period gives good value for money, especially if we do start well and people are paying £20/game x 2 per month anyway.
I know several people who were struggling to pay £249 (for various reasons) in one go and looked like giving up ST's but with this method they have already signed up.
I can see a number of people purchasing there tickets this way.
