In his post-match comments after Swindon's win against Brizzle, Danny Wilson says we are the only club to have showed a "firm interest" in him. Though he's "sure that will change". Probably more than happy to start a bidding war.

Bingo - swap him for Parker (Championships clubs interested), throw in Jevons too. Add in Denton (the next Crouch).
Easy!

Might be a stupid suggestion but would it not be worth paying a fair bit for him as an investment? I mean surely he will be worth a lot more than that in a few years? I know we arnt made of money and that would be a massive fee for a L1 club to pay and we are probably dreaming we would ever be able to spend that much on one player but surely spending that much now and getting promoted then selling him on at a profit would be worth it? I think he will play in PL one day and be worth a hell of a lot more than £1.5 mill.. (waiting for people to say I am delusional... )

(waiting for people to say I am delusional... ) There's a budget in place, and we don't want to use all of that on one player. There's no guarantees he'll be worth more in the future, form comes and goes, he's only had one good season so far. There's also no guarantees he would get us promotion. He's a great player, but we'd be mad to pay over the odds for him,

I wouldnt pay £1m+ for a player who has scored (albeit alot of) goals in his breakthrough season Much better off getting 3 or 4 in for the same money - if we did sign him, blew our budget and he got injured/lost form - we would be screwed! There are loads of players available on frees/on loan that would easily improve (hard not to) our squad in the Summer...i was gonna produce my list again but decided against it
