Get it on the PC it's classic, but make sure you don't get it when you've got something important coming up, or you'll never get it done lol

i found an old copy of an official town managerial game earlier this week called club manager 2005, you're always town manager and you start off in 04/05. had a little look at it again, its not four bad! wouldn't mind us bringing out an updated version

08/09 - 1st in League 1. 09/10 - 3rd in Championship and won the playoff final. 10/11 - 10th in PL 11/12 - 5th in PL 12/13 - 6th in PL 13/14 - 2nd in PL, Won League Cup, FA Cup and Uefa Cup. Lost out to Arsenal for the league on the last day of the season. Found a great 442 diamond formation which works and is slightly altered for away fixtures. I employ the best coaches and scouts possible and focus entirely on youth players and steal all the ones whom the scouts say will be good or leading prem players. Aside from Daniel Opare and Jack Wilshere my team is made up of players whom are new in the game and at the last international callup I had 62 Internationals. But only 5 were full ;D I also get feeder clubs and send young players out on loan for the season when they're too old to play for the under 18's. My U18's have lost 1 game in 4 seasons - unfortunately to a fluke goal to Leeds Utd when I had the majority of my squad on International duty

got the updated version (with pilks and co), was doing soo bad at the beginning - had to get ask the board for some more time as my job security was very insecure (was 18th and out of all cups!)
Doing better now and have a sniff of playoffs. Love fm now, so much detail, the missus hates it when i get in to it though, it can really affect my mood!

My U18's have lost 1 game in 4 seasons - unfortunately to a fluke goal to Leeds Utd when I had the majority of my squad on International duty Matt that sounds exactly like the way my game has gone. 08-09 - 2nd in league 1, (leeds top). JPT winners 09-10 3rd in Championship, won in play offs ironically beating leeds. 10-11 12th in prem. League cup winners 11-12 6th in prem. League and cup winners. Knocked out after group stages by AC Milan 3-2 on agg. 12-13 current sitting nicely in 3rd. Still in all cups came 2nd in group behind AC milan in europe. Key is first couple of season is loans such as kieron gibbs, shalum logen, rodrigo pessebon, fabio etc all do wonders for your team, at the start get matty fryatt in he does wonders. As the board dont give you much money, always look to bring in free transfers after players contracts have expired. In my current squad players i have got on free transfers believe it or not. Danny, Danny Wellbeck, Aiden McGeady, Thomas Kuiszak, ?? Garci, Arombat, scott sinclair, leyton baines, jerome boateng, infact too many to list. I had a compterised player called mark white who came through academy his stats are unbelievable. once in prem go to national teams have a look at their unemployed coaches and staff their stats are normally very good. My formation is a 442 diamond, which against hard teams such as arsenal who are unbelievable i play a 451 but my wingers pushing on. I play slightly attacking in all formations, hard taqckling, push up slight, counter attack, play offside etc i have also spent a couple of hours setting training schedules for positions such as defenders, midfielders, strikers, D-M (versatile defenders/midfielders) and so on... im currently 36th richest club in the game, offers have come in from liverpool, birmingham, fulham, chelsea, and middlesborough, ive rejected all. as i find it hard to leave hudders after all work and players ive brought in, my team is doing awesome and my staff ive spent hours on finding and scouting players etc. Never cheated in the game, loanings and very good buys have been my key, when in league one by a keeper from bohemians Brian Murphy turns out to be phenominal. i do exaqctly the same regards to loaning players out, ive some very good feeder clubs, norwich, gimnastica, chesterfield and 2 other foriegn clubs. The majority of my squad i have purchased from searching thoroughly at international u19s and u21s squads. To be succesful in the game you do have to put some time and effort in. Im a sad bugger so there has been ive been glued to my laptop playing the game for 6,7 hours up until the very very early hours. hope some of my tips have helped.

if i have a 2ghz laptop rather than a 2.4ghz laptop....am I really going to notice much of a difference when playin fm2008? Depends how many leagues your planning to run, and some 2ghz processors are faster than some other 2.4ghz processors, its not that simple anymore. Memory makes a much bigger difference to FM really. Stick to the recommended amount of leagues and it should be fine.
