So with the final game looming its food for thought to look at the amazing away win stats and easy to see its the home form that has cost us the playoffs and a shocking home goal difference...... Home w 9 d 8 l 6 for 32 ag 28 away w 9 unheard of, d 5 l 8 usually we manage 5 away wins max,, TTID

Teams now love coming to the Galpharm...
We have to change that as soon as possible next season

Our away form has been excellent but as you rightly say we havent got it right at home yet and we have made too many defensive howlers, Im sure Clark will study the stats and will be well up for next season..... a couple of good strikers and away we go !

Galpharm pitch is too bobbly and bouncy, makes towns passing game error prone (and strikerless in the final third, but thats another rant), letting teams sit back and hit us on the break.

our inability to hold a lead has also cost us (dropped about 30 points from winning positions this season)

We never have that extra bite in the side at home to go and kill the game off. From next season onwards I feel Mr Clark will put an end to this. He knows where the problems are coming from.

Could it be that the farm is jinxed or something , it feels like that to me !

Perhaps we should get Lee Clark to have a piss in all four corners of the pitch like Barry Fry did at Birmingham (might have been Peterborough).

Galpharm pitch is too bobbly and bouncy, makes towns passing game error prone (and strikerless in the final third, but thats another rant), letting teams sit back and hit us on the break. The state of the pitch is something that Lee Clark is worried about, and as you say does not help the players to play fast attacking football as it is not easy to control the ball. That could explain why so many of the matches we have seen at home this year have been poor....from both teams.

If you concede more than a goal a game at home then you could have rooney and torres up front and would still lose a good few games - have not checked the stats in depth but from memory colchester, brighton, mkdons, leicester, millwall, tranmere, crewe and cheltenham all scored two or more at our place this season! Undoubtedly our striker problems are a big issue, but that stat alone tells you clark has a big job bringing in the 4 or 5 new players we need to make a serious top 2 challenge.

A lot of pitches are very bobbly and hard right now, it's to do with the lack of rain in the last couple of months. Maybe Clark can do something about this next year.

'amassing food for thought whilst being amazing'? It looks all good and rosy and all being well we'll carry the away form into next season whilst sorting out the crappy home form. Roll on August.
