I know yeah - i mean - all he did was score his 6th goal in 6 games and his 14th in 28 this season. Rubbish. God help us if we signed a player like that. Much prefer my strikers to score zero goals or be registered for another club therefore not play one game. Out of interest... In January would you have been happy with us signing Lloyd Owusu after he was told by Cheltenham who don't forget were rock bottom of the league at that point that he wasn't even good enough for them? He's a big physical targetman who plays ok in hoofball teams where he makes a nuisance of himself picking up scraps and bits and pieces. Even with his 14 goals in 35 games this season I don't think he's the right style or fit for a passing side such as us and don't think he'd complement what we already have in our side. Plus with a perfectly good targetman already at the club with a 4in3 record would Owusu have been a good signing? Indeed, god help us if Lloyd Owusu is the extent of ours and your ambitions... ;D and even just in the short term if we would have signed this Cheltenham reject who is himself a one dimensional striker unable to trap cement and pass water and has only had moderate success in long ball teams do you think he'd have been successful? You may say yes, but I'd say based on my above theory that he wouldn't... Just like when he played at passing teams in Sheffield Weds and Reading where he got 19 goals in 92 games.... Opinions and all that. Alas man we are agreeing! Ever since it became apparent Butler and Lucketti weren't good enough (September) I've lobbied for us to sign Sam Sodje as he's excellent in the air, quick and very strong. But alas Leeds signed him and he's proving what a quality player he is there
