Since we've got a similar thread up for the Corby friendly, I thought I'd do one for Morecambe, although this is for the train rather than minibus.
I can get return tickets on the train for between £11.20 and £14.20, as opposed to the £23.10 normal fare, depending on how flexible you want to be.
These prices are without a railcard. With a railcard, the price would be between £4.45 and £8.50 as opposed to £15.25.
Should be a good day out (as long as it isn't -5C like last time I went!), and I'd hope we can take a reasonable following.
PM or email me if you're interested.
PS The deadline for these cheaper tickets is June 30th.

Are those prices with or without a railcard? I presume without, so very tempted for a day out...!

I'll definitely be going, although it'll feel weird getting the train to Lancaster and actually going further up than that, and going there/coming back without a laptop and suitcase.

weve got Emley on the friday night so would imagine he will play a much junior side with a few people like Craney and flynn in the side, then a decent side at Morecambe. will be driving over for the day out !

What are the details of these lovely cheap train tickets. I've suggested to the misses about a weekend at the seaside...

Basically you're going to need 2 email addresses, 2 different tickets and this link. Once you've got 2 different email addresses, register them on the above link and for each transaction, enter a different promotional code to get £5 off, and you can take it from there. The tickets you'll need are: Adult Return from Huddersfield to Manchester Piccadilly (£10.20) Adult Return from Manchester Piccadilly to Morecambe (£14.00) It looks like it'll cost £24, but with 2 different email addresses you can go to the link above and get two £5 discount codes. You then use these codes to get £5 off each TRANSACTION (not each ticket), and the minimum value to get the discount is £6. Therefore the £5 discount off each of the transactions I've detailed above cuts the cost from £24 to £14. If you come across any problems just get in touch and I'll try and help.
