I find it rather dismaying that people believe the price is too much and are talking about not going. I wonder, if we had drawn Leeds, would the arguments be the same. I doubt it, most people would be going.

Leeds would be a more attactive game than Stockport though, no offense to Stockport but I've seen them god knows how many times over the years whereas we've only just started playing Leeds again after quite a few years so that argument doesn't really add up. I'm sure everyone on here would go to every game if they could but it's not always possible.

We do, but say you had £20 free to spend and that was it (even then it should be spent on things more practical) if we drew Manchester United in the cup you'd spend it, if we drew Vauxhall Motors you probably wouldn't. I'm not blaming the club I just don't think it's fair for some supporters to be having a go at others that can't afford it. Personally I'll probably go but only because I can afford it.

but, unless i am mistaken, we go to watch Town. That's not strictly the case though is it, which is why Leeds got 40,000 in the Premier League and average around half that in this league....and why Bradford got 20,000+ in the Premier League and average around half that in League 2. You go for the overall package..which is more than just going to see the team you support, the opposition plays a part too, which is why we'll get 16000+ through the door for the Leeds game at home and we'll maybe dip under 10,000 for the home game against Exeter (who I didn't even realise were in the Football League before this morning!). In our League 2 season, lots of people went to 'places like' Boston for example, not simply because they were desperate to see Town, but because they'd not been to Bostons ground before.

Sorry, Pozza - I don't buy that. If you REALLY WANT to see Town, you'll go; you'll find the cash. I'm not saying that everyone SHOULD go, but I just feel that people are too quick to moan and groan about ticket prices. The club has done everything it can to encourage people with cheaper prices all over the ground over the last year or so - look at prices in the Panasonic stand now, for example. And then when they ask us to put our hands in our pockets, folks whinge. As I've said - if you WANT to watch Town, you WILL find the cash! If I REALLY wanted to buy a Ferrari then I could as well, if you REALLY want to do/but anything then i'm sure anyone could find the cash as well. I know the ST ticket prices have been cheap, and its great the club are doing things to encourage more fans to come down. However I dont see the argument of "you saved money on something you bought 3/4 months (or 12 months ago if you've not decided to sit in the FM Lower) so you should be able to afford to go to this" People will have no doubt spent that money on other things since then, and might not have £15 spare to watch a 1st Round, second rate cup game against a team we will play twice this season anyways.

I am just throwing my point out there for discussion. for what it's worth, i really don't think the price is too bad. Look at the £10 for the Coventry freindly. Is an extra fiver really so much for our first competitive home game of the season.

£15 is that all? What a bargain to watch my favourite team play in the cup.... you couldn't even buy 5 pints for that at the New Inn in Outlane ... bring it on
