I'd imagine its like the FA Cup, where both teams have to agree on prices-Town may have wanted it to be a tenner for adults and Stockport may have said no. Only other reason for it being £15 is it's a local-ish decent league 1 team, rather than a rubbish nobody league 2 team (eg bradford)

I think that the idea is to generate a bit of cash from a cup-run; sadly, it seems Town have a lot of fans not willing to pay £15.00 I'm disappointed that there are so many fans on here who want something for nothing or, at least, very cheap.

Very well priced season tickets this year - only £100 last year!!! FFS!! C'mon, lets support our club and try to give Dean Hoyle something back for all he's given us already. I'll be there!!!

"Unemployed" - OK, I accept that, but I know LOADS of unemployed (or is that unemployables? ) who will blow almost double that amount in an evening on booze, fags and one-armed bandits!

I don't think it's right for the ones that can afford it to be having a go at the ones that can't. Some people are really struggling at the moment and whilst for some it'll be money found down the sofa for a new season ticket plus cup games for some it isn't. No teams make much money in the early rounds anyway it's only when you draw a big team or get on the telly that teams make decent money. Personally I think £10 would've been better especially seen as it's the first round, a night game and not so glamourous opponents but Stockport probably had a lot to do with that.

Doesn't really work like that does it I'm sure everyone on here doesn't have a special Huddersfield Town bank account in which they put the money saved on the ST's in to pay for stuff like this...... I know the money I saved went to pay for Car Tax that otherwise would have had to be put on my Credit Card. The cheap ticket made it easier for that month, and that month only. £15 is a lot of money, especially to see a team we'll play in't league anyways. Plus with all massive treks down south i'm people would rather use that £15 to go to one of them. I know I would.

Sorry, Pozza - I don't buy that. If you REALLY WANT to see Town, you'll go; you'll find the cash. I'm not saying that everyone SHOULD go, but I just feel that people are too quick to moan and groan about ticket prices. The club has done everything it can to encourage people with cheaper prices all over the ground over the last year or so - look at prices in the Panasonic stand now, for example. And then when they ask us to put our hands in our pockets, folks whinge.
As I've said - if you WANT to watch Town, you WILL find the cash!

£10 & £1 a kid would have been better but come August I'd pay double for the pleasure of dragging myself over broken glass to watch a town match.
These prices and the responses of the faithful do not bode well for those expecting thousands to be willing to walk up and fork out up to £20/25 fortnightly to watch the league games does it?

I will be at Headingley for Day 5 of the Ashes.
In theory anyway - wouldnt put it past us to have lost the game in three days, knowing this England side
Got tickets for the Sunday as well so hopefully i will see a result, one way or the other...

I will be there regardless as it's potentially our first 'proper' home game of the season, but do feel £15 is a bit steep leading to a 5,000 crowd max.
Just a thought but as both clubs agree the ticket prices for cup games, Stockport due to there current financial situation could be taking a calculated gamble that lesser people turning up will manage to produce a larger monetary turnover than more at a tenna. Just a thought!
If SCFC are away also on the first day of the season they could bring a reasonable following as they too look for there first competitive game of the season that's local to watch.
I have a sneaky feeling we will get Stockport as first league game of the season. The cup competitions have a habit of doing this.

I will be there regardless as it's potentially our first 'proper' home game of the season With the release of the fixtures (which the clubs have had provisional access to prior to today), there is no doubt in my mind that this is the reason its £15 rather than £10.
