As if he missed nearly 2 years of academy! He will become a great player......too good for league 1.

Can't see him getting too many games with Liverpool this season, especially if they sign Glen Johnson as reported in todays papers.

Haven't Liverpool got about 8 senior full backs even before signing Johnson?
Or have the released some?
Aurelio, Arbeloa, Degen and Dossena instantly spring to mind (so maybe not quite 8)

It's the "homegrown" aspect of it that means they're likely to keep him on this season, though.
Although I suppose Johnson will add to that. We can hope, but I think we all realised he is far too good for this league. If we got him I would be ecstatic.

Kelly is primarily a centre back though isn't he? So it won't matter to them if they have 8 full-backs. Its how many centre-backs they have. It's lee clark who's turned him into a right back (a very good one at that)

But lee clark thought he'd be more beneficial at right back. According to him that is the case anyway.

Kelly's future is at centre-back, no doubt. Rafa will have a look at him and San Jose in pre-season and decide on one and loan out the other or will sign a 4th choice centre-back and loan out one and have the other as back-up in the reserves. Both Kelly and San Jose are highly rated, alot of our fans would be split as to who is the brighter prospect. San Jose is more Hyypia-like than Kelly though, in that he's not the quickest but reads the game very well. He's also older than Kelly which is why I think Rafa will go with San Jose. The progress Kelly has shown in the past year since he has came back from his injuries has been phenomenal, he needs to be playing regulary for that progression to continue. A season-long loan at a club like Huddersfield would only do him good, he was well looked after first time around and seemed to enjoy himself. I just hope he doesn't go to a top Championship club and ends up not playing as regulary. Not that I doubt his talent, it's just that they usually go with experience over youth in the Championship.

If he comes to huddersfield i will be happier with his loan for a season than us signing a proven striker! He has such a bright future, a future england player IMO
